What I Know

Jose Protasio Rizal mercado y Alonso Realonda was his full name and known as also Jose and Pepe. He
was a Filipino nationalist, a writer, a polymath active, a poet and a physician and was considered the
national hero of the Philippines who was died by sacrificing his life which is executed in firing at
Bagumbayan now called Luneta in Manila on December 30, 1896. On December 30, 2022, will be the
126th death anniversary of Jose Rizal.

What I want to know

I want to know his biography and his so many amazing works that have major contributions to the
Philippine society and to the development of the history until the present and his other literary writings
such as poems and essays.

What I learned

I learned that the reasons why we are studying this course, which is about Life and Works of Rizal, it is
because it was mandated by law which is to become a subject in education to study the teachings of
Jose Rizal’s life, works and writings. In which the students and the youth could learn and tribute all of
the contribution of Jose Rizal in the Philippine history thus serves as our love for our country and to the
hero. In which I learned today that we must know the truth behind all of the reasons behind his acts that
time to lessen the criticisms we had known about him for being a human and being a hero by sacrificing
himself for him to be a lead for the Filipinos to live freely and confident within themselves through
education.
