Nature is the Definition of Life

Biodiversity which is known as the foundation of life and human health. Biodiversity
provides the goods and services we need in order for us to live. It is defined as genetic, species
and ecosystem diversity where it tells all the living things in the earth which are the suppliers of
life. It is where our environment depends and what do you think will happen if our biodiversity
tends to lose its value because of the reason why it started to be destroyed? Will we humans
become extinct if our environment affects our health and all of the people in the society? Then
let’s discuss the relation of biodiversity where we people in the society and the human health
will tend to be affected if our environment gets destroyed.

No human population can survive without a healthy global environment capable of
supporting a diverse range of species. We all know that our biodiversity supports our need for
food and shelter in which it became the provider of food security, healthy living and also the
livelihood sustainability. Our environment promotes good health where all living things are able
to live. Another is it also promotes us crops and other plants that we are using to make foods
and also the reason for having our livestock due to the help of our biodiversity. As a result,
agricultural biodiversity loss may actually be harmful which affects our future food and nutrition
security and livelihood sustainability. Another reason why it is important is that biodiversity is a
valuable resource for medical study. The studies of species that could be of interest for
developing studies can lead to important developments in human medicine. Not just that but
also traditional and modern medicine both benefit from biological diversity. Since, traditional
medicines are used by millions of individuals for their main health care. If our biodiversity tends
to lose its value it may have greater effects or impacts on traditional medical practices that are
vital to community traditions and livelihoods especially that indigenous and other local
communities use wild animals and plants as their food and medicine. Infectious illness
regulation and control are also aided by biodiversity. Biodiversity loss has greater impacts in
dealing infectious disease transmission between animals, plants, and people, including
economically significant livestock diseases, pandemic outbreaks, and global pandemics. In
which the reason for biodiversity loss is through usage of biocides and other chemicals. Another
fact is within communities, biodiversity has social, cultural, and spiritual significance.
Populations can become disconnected from open spaces or the greater countryside as a result
of ecosystem change, with severe consequences for physical and mental health as well as a
loss of "feeling of place." This has been related to an increased prevalence of 'affluent disease'
which includes diabetes and obesity. All of those mentioned here have greater impacts on our
environment especially all living species and organisms, plants and especially us people that
can affect our sense of life which is our health and our ways of living. The threats to our
biodiversity include habitual loss, overharvesting, invasive species and also climate change,
which is very popular with us because it is a threat to all mankinds. In order to change the
impacts of Biodiversity loss in our environment, in our health and to us people in the society we
should know where we should form an action and take a change to value our biodiversity.

Take a lead, take an action, take a sudden change of mind then move! Our nature is
dying and it can lead to biodiversity loss due to climate change which is a big reason why we
are all expecting the impacts of it. We must know how to learn from our sins and start to take
the lessons where our nature lets us experience it. Especially this pandemic, where this Covid-
19 arose and let the whole world change the way we were supposed to live. It is one of the
major reasons why we should now change, why we must take actions because we all don't
know where we could die and where our important loved one could be taken away from us. We
should never let it happen so think and decide! The bigger change is in our hands, learning to
take care of our environment as our biodiversity is the meaning of life.
