aspect of the basic principles that constitute human life. Now listen to the extremely secret discourse on Kshatriya Dharma. Jayāsa jīvāche vāte bhaye || Tene Kshātra Dharma karū naye!|| Kāhītarī karūn upāy || Pota bhārāve ||2||
First & Foremost, those who hold ANY fear for
their Life should know that The Way of Kshatriyas is NOT for them. Let them find some other way of life to get their daily bread. Vimukha marne Naraka hotī || Vāchona yetām mothī fajitī || Īhaloka Paraloka jātī || Pāhenā konī ||3||
Death while fleeing guaranteess hell. Even if you
survive by flight, you face defamation. It's a scenario that ruins one's fate either in this world or the astral worlds.
Māritā Māritā Marāwe! || Tene gatīs pāvāve ||
Firona Āliyā bhogāve || MahādāBhāgya ||4||
Always slaughter and slaughter until your last
breath. If you die thus you attain the dimension of heroes and if you end up winning in the bloodshed, you enjoy great glory Nazar karār rākhane || Kābū pāhona Qatal karane! || Rannshūrāchī antakarne || Chakkīt hotī ||5||
By keeping your eyes deep-set in determination and
conducting massacres with discretion of the greatest enemy warriors, you can stun their morale. Jaīsā bhāndyāchā galola || Nirbhay bhārāmadhye padilā || Taīsā Kshatrī richavalā || Parasenemadhye ||6||
Just like collision of utensils disrupts long
maintained silence similarly even if a few Kshatriyas roar it shatters the morale & the balance of the hearts of enemy's armies! Nishankapane bhāra phutatī || Paravīrāche tavake tutatī || Jaishā balyā ghālūna ghetī || Bahirī uthatā ||7||
Even if a single Kshatriya raises his sword, the
enemy warriors are bound to be smashed and slaughtered doubtlessly. Aisechi avaghe uthatā || Paradalāchī kaun chintā || Harane laulatī Chitā || Dekhatā jaīsī ||8||
In such condition if multitudes of Kshatriya raise
their swords we need not even worry about the strength of enemy. It will play out just like single cheetahs killing multiple deers. Marde takavā sāndū naye || Mhanje prāpta hoto jaya || Kābū prasanga samay || Barā volakhāvā ||9||
A real Man never drops down his balance. Victory is
won thus. People should judge the appropriate times when it is necesary to exercise self-control to successfully execute a task. Kābū samajenā antare || Te kāy zhunjela vichāre|| Yuddha karāve khabardāre || Loka rāzī rākhatām ||10||
Without knowing what's appropriate, one can never
find his calling to unleash revolution. So always be CONSCIOUS while warring & also maintain army's collective consciousness. Donī Dale yekavate || Misaltā chikhal khāte || Yuddha karāve khanakhanāte || Seema sāndūni ||11||
War when observed from a distance appears to
simply be two opposing factions fusing into one, both pulverizing each other in the fray. Vigour saps in chaos and borders are confused. Deva Mātra uchedīlā || Āpalā Svadharma udavalā || Jinnyāarīs mrutyū bhalā || Aise samjāve ||12||
If one's fighting capacity is rendered impotent when
one's Gods & Dharma are at risk of being toppled down by enemies then death should be preferable than living in such a condition. MAHRATTA TITUKĀ MILĀWĀ! || ĀPULĀ MAHĀRĀSHTRA DHARMA RĀKHĀWĀ! || Yevisī na karitā takwā || Pūrvaja hānsatī! ||13||
ASSEMBLE THE MARATHAS!
DEFEND MAHARASHTRA DHARMA!
If YOU (Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaja) do not
undertake this endeavour NOW, your ancestors will mock you! Marana haka toh chukenā || Deha vāchavilyā vāchenā || Vivekī hoūn samjhānā || Kāy karāve ||14||
Death is guaranteed for all.
Try as you might to save the body, it will ultimately be destroyed. Become Rational first and accept this reality. Bhale Kulavanta mhanāve || Tehī bega hāzir vhāve || Hāzīr na hotā bhrastāve || Lāgel pude ||15||
Even if you boast of being a Kulin Maratha, you too
will one day have to surrender to this reality and seek it out. If you refuse to surrender to reality, it will seek YOU out. Eka Jātīne dona Jātī pāvalā || Toh kaīsā mhanāvā bhalā || Tumhā sakalāsa Kopa ālā || Tarī Kshamā kīje ||16||
What use is boasting such a Bloodline, but letting
exterminated the way one culls mad dogs! Servants of Gods always ultimately emerge triumphant in such mission, this is doubtless! Deva mastakī dharāvā! || Avaghā Halahalakola karāvā! || Mulq badavāvā budavāvā || Dharmasthāpanesāthī ||18||
Bear your Devas in your mind and gulp down the
Halahala poison of struggle like Shiva. Either Win the World or Ravage it. Cross all your limits, to establish Dharma. Vivek vichār sāvadhapane || Dīrgha prayatna kelāchī karane || Tulajāvarāche nigune || Rāme Rāvana budavilā ||19|| Carry this out with rationality, foresight, caution & commit your entire energy. Always Remember blessings of Tulja Bhavani ultimately empowered Ram to slay Ravan. Aisī hai Tulajā Bhavānī! || Prasiddha Rāmavaradayinī || Rāmadāsa dhyāto manī || Yatantimitta ||20||
Such is our Tulaja Bhavani, the one whose blessings
the already blessed Bhagwan Rama sought.
I, Ramadas meditate on her & bring this
discourse to an end. Dedicated to Shri Ram. Kshatra Dharma of Guru Shri Swami Samarth Ramdas.
We pay our gratitude to the great Maharashtrian
saint
