Emma’s movie blog
My name’s Emma and I’m from Edinburgh, in Scotland.
I’m mad about movies. My brother, Oscar, and I often
watch movies, but we don’t go to a normal movie
theater. We get information from Mystery-Movies.com
about their special events! There’s a new movie in our
city every Saturday and every movie is in a different
location. Mystery-Movies.com doesn’t give information
before the day of the movie. They tell you by email at
6:00 p.m. and the movie usually starts at 7:00 p.m.
There aren’t a lot of tickets, and you only have an hour
to buy them and get there!
The locations are always interesting. Last winter, we
watched the animated movie Polar Express in a big
room at the train station. There was a movie last month
in the old police station near the market. These
locations were perfect because Polar Express was
about a boy and a train, and the other movie was an
action movie. Last year, we saw Goal!
at the sports center and a comedy in the park.
My favorite movie event was two months ago. It was
Jurassic World, and the location was great because
we visited the zoo before the movie and saw the
animals. There were lots of people there. We sat on
a couch near the screen and ate fruit. Before the
movie started, a woman from the zoo talked to us
about dinosaurs and why they disappeared from
the Earth millions of years ago. I enjoyed the movie
because my favorite movies are sci-fi movies. The
special effects were brilliant.
Oscar didn’t like the movie because he thought the
dinosaurs were scary. He prefers animated movies
and musicals. He was happy last week because we
watched the animated movie Finding Dory. We
watched it in an aquarium, where there are lots of fish
and other water animals. I didn’t like the movie very
much, but the location was amazing. Oscar bought
a book about fish from the store after the movie.
