Music In You Reflection

What You Learned About Your Multiple Intelligence Results: My top 3 intelligences on my
Multiple Intelligences Test are self, musical, and body. I scored a 3.43 in self, a 3.14 in musical,
and a 3.14 in body. I like the idea of the MI theory because all kids learn differently and knowing
the different intelligences of your students can help one as an educator, move forth with the way
they teach their materials. They can implement different strategies in the classroom so that all
kids can benefit from the material equally. I feel like my strong intelligence results match me
perfectly. Same thing goes for my weak intelligence results. The scores for my other
intelligences consisted of 3 in social, 2.57 in spatial, 2.57 in nature, 2.43 in language, and 1.57 in
math. I feel that my favorite teachers that I’ve had were mostly teaching to my strength. 2/3 of
them were my music teachers, which falls into my musical score.

new creations.

Application of Skills Learned for the Future: I feel like this project would be beneficial for
kids. If it were applied to younger kids, it would be a good idea for the educator to teach them
the song, rather than have them create one from an existing one. However, for older grades such
as 3-5, might enjoy an assignment where they do get to make a new song about a material they
are learning about using an already existing song.
