Celebrity Gossip Newspaper Reflection

What You Learned: I tested out different tools today. At first, I used the column tool, but it
made adding images difficult. It would create more pages and it wouldn’t let me adjust the size
of the column. Instead of going with the columns, I just did simple text boxes. It was much
easier, and I feel like it still suited the project well. This time I also used colored boxes to divide
the sections.

ISTE National Educational Technology Standards for STUDENTS (NETS)•S Addressed:

Standard #1 1.1b: Students build networks and customize their learning environments in ways
that support the learning process.

Application of Skills Learned for the Future: For kids, this would be a more time-consuming
project, but it is a great way for them to interact with their peers. It is also something fun that
they can be creative with. The Celebrity Gossip Newspaper project can also be assigned as a
partner assignment. This assignment fits well under a writing assignment.
