Portfolio Artifact Description: Dream Home - construct a 2- dimensional drawing of your idea
of a dream home.

What you learned: This assignment was the most time consuming. It was fun, but very tedious. I
learned that when you mentioned dream home be careful what you wish for because it can come
with a lot of work. I actually had to revise my layout because I wanted a better flow. I used many
shapes at my disposal. I also learned about tools that I never though existed. With practice I was
able to create the house that I envisioned.

6aStudents choose the appropriate platforms and tools for meeting the desired objectives of their
creation or communication.

Application of Skills Learned for the Future: This would be a great assignment for children to
generate creativity and enhance their visual skills. It is a tedious assignment, which I believe can
be successfully achieve in a group setting. If children partner up and gave them responsible such
as being responsible for the door or the layout, it can help the build a team environment. As a 3-
D model, I can diffently see spatial learning styles because you can guage with a actual room
and to recreate it. I can use this concept to teach a unit for history. I would focus this lesson on a
wild west town. Students can depict what they learned and in corparte those tools to creat their
own wild west town.
