MNHS hosts EduAKSYON Virtual Press Con with DepEd Sec.

Aimed to disseminate the latest news and developments in the education sector particularly in
Region 2, DepEd Public Affairs Service (PAS) in partnership with the Regional Office and Muñoz
National High School facilitated the conduct of the AduAKSYON: Aksyon at Solusyon para sa
Edukasyon- DepEd Virtual Press Conference graced by DepEd Secretary Leonor Magtolis
Briones.
Sec. Briones was joined by Undersecretary and Chief of Staff Atty. Nepomuceno Malaluan;
Undersecretary Diosdado San Antonio; Undersecretary Wilfredo Cabral; DepEd Region 02
personnel headed by Regional Director Benjamin Paragas; Assistant Regional Director Jessie
Amin; Regional Information Officer Amir Aquino; the top leaders from the nine Schools Division
Offices in the region; and the different media partners.

To inform the stakeholders and media on the latest news in the field, the following topics were
tackled: Updates on the release of the Performance Based Bonus (PBB) by Usec. Cabral;
Updates on Academic Ease and the on-going health break by Usec. San Antonio; and Updates
on the Pilot Implementation of Face-to-face classes by Usec. Malaluan.
The highlight of the event was the press conference with Director Nina Bianca Sanglay and RIO
Amir Aquino as moderators. Several queries and concerns were raised by the media regarding
the education sector which were all thoroughly addressed by Sec. Briones and other DepEd
Officials.
Headed by Rushel A. Lazaro, PhD Principal II, the whole MNHS team expressed their pride and
honor to be a part of the said event.
