Notes:
1. Drift values are calculated based on the ANSI/AWC SDPWS - 2021 three term equation. Simpson Strong-Tie Holdown Δa values were used for the
calculation. If other holdown types are used, these drift values are not valid.
2. Drift values noted are based on blocked wood structural panel walls.
3. Stiffness values, Ga, used are based on framing members with moisture content of 19% or less.
4. MASA values based on standard installation based on Simpson Strong-Tie catalog C-C-2021. Designer to adjust number of MASA as required for
other installation methods.
5. Holdown anchorage shall be specified by the designer.
6. Shear anchorage solutions (anchor bolt, MASA, and Titen HD) only consider the effects of in-plane loading. All other loading shall be evaluated by the
designer.
7. For 2015, 2018 and 2021 IBC, nominal shear capacity of all wood structural panel shearwalls with aspect ratio (h/b) greater than 2:1 has been
multiplied by 2b/h for design. This was applied to both Wind and Seismic Loads.
