THE FOREST OF CANDY

Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess named Sina, who had a soft and
cuddly bear named Golo.

One splendid day when the sun was shining and they really wanted to go for a
walk, they decided to go on a trip to the countryside together. Once there, they
walked and walked and got very, very far... exactly, they reached a beautiful forest
called the Forest of Sweets.

If you took a look at the forest, it wasn't too hard to figure out why it was called that.
In that place all the trees had, instead of green leaves, candies of all colors, all
flavors and all sizes. And instead of normal fruits they had chocolate, vanilla,
strawberry and nougat fruits. It was like candy heaven!
Sina thought that surely the children of that place would be very happy to have so
many delicious things on hand to eat. But the sad and harsh reality is that it was
not. The children lived disconsolate and crying because, as they were small, they
could not reach the sweets from the trees. As much as they jumped and tried to
climb the trunks, they did not achieve anything.

But Princess Sina found a solution to the problem and taught them that there was a
way to enjoy the treats, but that everyone had to collaborate to catch them. What
the princess came up with was to build a large staircase with some pieces of wood
that were in the forest. Everyone started to do it: some looked for the wood, others
cut it, another joined it... and all together they finished the staircase in a jiffy.

Now all that was left was to put it next to one of the trees, and while some held the
ladder tightly so there would be no accidents, the others went up and down with
their little hands full of all kinds of goodies. And that's how they did it and they took
a lot of candies, jellies, chocolates, chewing gum, liquorice... and a lot of other
goodies that, of course, were for everyone, because since everyone had
collaborated, everyone had the right to participate in the goodies too.

Sina and Golo also ate, but they had to say goodbye to their little friends because
they had to go home. But those children were very grateful for the lesson they had
been given: if we help each other we can participate in good things that sometimes
we could not achieve alone.
