In above specified activities for the grant of service credits, kindly narrate below the details of the
activity/event with emphasis on the results or accomplishments:
Every teacher should work toward becoming successful as well as efficient, that’s why the Department of
Education – Division of General Trias City conducted the three-day “Training Workshop/Orientation on Content and
Pedagogy of SHS Curriculum for Integrated Senior High School Teachers” which aims to improve the skills and
knowledge of newly hired junior high school teachers in the delivery of instruction with a focus on the content and
pedagogy of the SHS curriculum.
The program started on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. A quick introduction and presentation of each group,
based on the subjects taught were occurred. The mechanics of the training session was then explained by Ma'am
Maricel P. Malabanan, SDO General Trias City Senior High School Coordinator. The senior high school forms and
how they differ from junior high school forms was also discussed by Ma'am Jerlyn Ambogia, LYFJSHS Registrar.
Questions and clarifications were responded after the discussion.
The regional senior high school coordinator, Sir Eugene Ray Santos, spoke on the SHS curriculum on the
second day of the training/workshop on July 14, 2022. Additional speakers discussed the assigned topi respectively;
Sir Sonny E. Lopez Jr. on assessment, Sir Armando Ison on pedagogical approaches and lesson exemplar, Sir Ruben
Montoya on curriculum guides, and Ma'am Rosalie P. Lujero on learning activity sheets. We attended a breakout
session with Ma'am Maisie Lontok, a Master Teacher from Luis Y. Ferrer Jr., in the afternoon. She has demonstrated a
sample lesson exemplar and learning activity sheet in TVL for senior high school students. She told us that enhancing
of skills must be on focused in TVL students. She also discussed some beneficial practices used at their school, such
as the TVL on Wheels, which assists in locating students who have not completed their performance tasks.
On the final day, July 15, 2022, I am one of the participants who presented the learning activity sheet in TVL
that I have developed. I was terrified, yet fortunate to get Sir Ison's critical criticism because it allowed me to improve
my learning activity sheet about presenting/plating poultry dishes.
This type of training does indeed give us the tools and information we need to be successful as senior high
school teachers in the 2022–2023 school year.
