SUBJECT: NATIONAL DISASTER RESILIENCE MONTH (NDRM) 2018

All Public Schools District Supervisors
Elementary and Secondary School Heads
SDRRM Coordinators
All Others Concerned

1. Pursuant to Executive Order No. 29, the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM)
shall be observed throughout the country for the whole month of July every year,
through the conduct of activities relative to building resilience.

2. Relative to this, all School Heads and SDRRM Committees are hereby directed to
undertake resilience –building activities under the theme “KATATAGAN SA
KALAMIDAD ay Makakamtan Kapag Sapat ang Kaalaman sa Kahandaan”.

Activities may include the following:

a. Display of streamers bearing the NDRM theme throughout the month of July
b. Conduct of Student-Led Hazard Mapping Activities in the school compound (Report
on this must be compiled as basis for future planning activities)
c. Film Viewing and or Symposium activities which promote resilience in schools
d. Campus Clean-up activities
e. Tree planting
f. Others

3. Also, School DRRM Coordinators are directed to prepare documentations. Complete

copy of which should be filed in the office and enclosure Number 1 shall be sent to SDO
AURORA DRRMO before August 6, 2018 for consolidation.
