Open Circuit

VHP Extender Series Remedy

Check Continuity Between ECU and Sensor
Remedy #1 #3
Check for Loose Connection
Between ECU and Sensor

Remedy #2 NOTE: Power to PDB must be shut off, engine must be shut down, and
harness must be disconnected at sensor and at ECU.
Inspect Sensor and Connectors
for Damage

Remedy #3 1. Perform continuity test between ECU connector pin 17 (1478) and sensor
connector pin "C" (1478).
Check Continuity Between ECU 2. Perform continuity test between ECU connector pin 21 (1477) and sensor
and Sensor
connector pin "A" (1477).
3. Perform continuity test between ECU connector pin 35 (1151) and sensor
Remedy #4 connector pin "B" (1151).
Check Continuity Between ECU
and Interconnect

Remedy #5
Check Continuity Between
Interconnect and Sensor

Remedy #6
Check for +5V at Sensor
Connector

If continuity checks are within specifications, continue

to Remedy #6.
OK

If continuity checks are not within specifications, continue

NOT OK to Remedy #4.
