to Reuse?

benefits from reusing items you have at home.

could reuse the items in the pictures in the spaces below.
Then, compare your answers with a classmate.

Then, create a step-by-step guide for your classmate to reuse their
item creatively. Follow the instructions below.

A New Purpose
To reuse means using something again for its original
function, or giving it a new purpose. For example,
you can reuse pots and jars as small containers.
Reusing can help reduce the amount of waste we
produce and save money. This is achieved by not
buying new products that would have the same
purpose as the reused one. So, in the end, we would
be helping our family’s economy.
By reusing, we also help the environment since fewer
things are consumed. If more people start reusing,
we can save natural resources. On the other hand,
by reducing waste, we help lessen pollution in water
sources and different ecosystems.
Reusing can be fun. Here are several tips to reuse
some items at home.
› Scrap paper, cardboard, and old newspapers can
be used to make notes, for gift wrapping, packing
material, or for crafts.
› Plastic and glass bottles can be used as pots for
plants, for crafting, as watering cans, or as
desk organizers.
› Old clothes can be used as cleaning rags or
cushion covers.
Give it a try and who knows, you might have a great
time saving and helping the environment.
