BEA ON CAM Ukraine and Russia called for intensified
diplomatic efforts Sunday, after a sharp
escalation in shelling on the front lines.

After separate calls with French

President Emmanuel Macron, both
governments have pressed for more
peace talks. Macron and Putin then
spoke for a second time late Sunday, the
French presidency said.

The U.S government in Washington

warns that a Russian invasion is
imminent, Macron dubbing the calls, "The
last possible and necessary efforts to
avoid a major conflict in Ukraine".

virus restrictions.

JAYPY ON CAM British Prime Minister Boris Jhonson is

set to announce an end to England’s
Covid-19 regulations on Monday, a day
after the U.K.’s 95-year-old monarch
Queen Elizabeth II tested positive for the
virus.

Early Monday, the Cabinet will meet to

sign off on the so called “Living with
Covid” plan, ahead of the parliament in
the afternoon, and a news conference to
follow in the early evening. Jaypy

BEA ON CAM Four former senators, 12 other
government officials and business
executives declared their “unequivocal
support” to the presidential bid of Vice
President Leni Robredo, who they
described as “fearless, action-oriented,
inclusive and decisive.”

In a joint statement released on Monday,

the 16 signatories made an appeal to
Filipinos to join them in supporting
Robredo’s presidential bid.
The group stated that “We strongly
believe that VP Leni is the most qualified
and trustworthy presidential candidate
 who has the political will to rebuild our
sordid past, engender hope and
inspiration among our people regardless
of social standing, and bring about
change that has long eluded us,”

The statement was signed by former

Senators Rodolfo Biazon, Ramon
Magsaysay Jr., Sergio Osmeña III,
Wigberto Tañada, and other business

BEA ON CAM DILG Defends PNP’s critics over Dr.
Natavidad Castro. For more details,
here’s Francine Racho.
FRANCINE ON CAM On Monday, the Department of Interior
and Local Government stated out that the
Philippine National Police were just doing
their jobs in arresting Dr. Natividad
Castro. Arrested by PNP operatives on
Friday, facing kidnapping and serious
illegal detention charges in San Juan
City.

Castro is a ranking member of the

Communist Party of the Philippines and
an advocate of Lumad Communities in
Mindanao.

DILG Secretary Eduardo Ano said on

Friday, “the PNP were just giving service
and performing their duties in serving
warrant of arrest against the doctor”.

A post from the arrested doctor’s brother

last week in Facebook appealed for help
and said that all the charges are “untrue”

In accordance to the confirmation from

Ano, Castro is now under custody of the
court and is being detained at Bayugan
City Police Station.
 According to the Commission on Human
Rights (CHR), they could file
administrative or criminal charges against
who conducted the arrest. This is
