You MUST prepare all your charts and perform all your
calculations in Excel. You will be assessed on your Excel skills,
so make sure that you use appropriate Excel functions and lay
out your work in a suitable manner.

Your findings should be interpreted within the context given in


the assignment brief.

You must present your findings in a report in Word of no more


than 3,000 words (including all charts/tables). You MUST use
Harvard referencing for any sources you cite. This includes in-
text references as well as a reference list.

Please submit your hard copy to the Admin and BOTH your

Assignment Brief:

Every year, the Bank of England (BoE) asks people questions about their income and
spending. The datafile contains the data in year 2021.

You have just started employment in a bank and your Manager want you to explore the
factors affecting the financing decisions of UK households.

Your tasks:
1. Analyse the data in the datafile in order to gain an understanding of the pattern of
income and spending of UK households.
2. You need to design your research to study the factors affecting the financing
decisions of UK households. In order to do so, you’ll need to:
- Conduct two hypothesis tests about means/proportion.
- Conduct two inference on means/proportion of the two populations
- Perform one ANOVA analysis
- Design and run a multiple regression
3. Give recommendations for the bank to promote their loans.
4. Present your work to your Manager in the form of a report in Word. Submit your
analysis in an Excel file which the Manager can use for further investigation.
