1.Overview: All display segments:

A.Put 2 x AAA batteries in the battery compartment, slide down and hold the power button to
the “POWER” position and hold for 3 sec , the display show “ON” mode .(Fig2)
B.After “ON” , the device enter into working mode.(Fig3)

3.Power off/standby:

Slide down and hold the power button for 3 sec to off the recorder（In 10 seconds not press
any key, will be automatically entered into standby mode）.(Fig4)

5. Recording setting:
1. In a recording stop mode (start-up display), press the “FOLDER” button to select any one of
these 4( A/B/C/D ) folder for recording location,
2. The built-in microphone on the top of the recorder, it should be toward the sound source and
press “ RED “ record button and the ORANGE LED will light up, the recording starts.(Fig5)

3. Press “ RED “ record button to pause recording.
4. Press “ RED “ record button again to make the recording start.
5. Press “ ” button to stop recording.
5.1. Display the remaining recording time
1. In stop mode press the “ stop ” button. The remaining recording time
in the memory is shown in hours and minutes.
5.2.Telephone recording:
please follow the below connection picture, press “REC” to start telephone recording after finish
connection:(the record and playback method are the same as normal recording)
6. Playback setting：
6.1 Select a recording folder：
1. In standby mode, press the “ FOLDER “ button to select one of these 4 folder( )
for the recording location.
2. In the stopped mode, press the button “ ” and that button ” ” to select the record of the
recording file.
6.2 Playback：
1. If you playback the recording file, please follow the 6.1 step to select a recording file
2. Press to playback the selected file. During it playback, the recording time can show on
the display.(Fig6).

3. Press “+ /– “buttons to adjust the sound volume, press “MENU” return to playing mode...
4. Press key to pause playback, press again to continue..
5. Press the stop key to stop playback.

6.3 Adjusting playback speed：

1. In playing state, Press and hold “ “ button at least 3 sec during playback.
2. Press + / – to select the desired playback speed from -8 to +8.
3. Press the “ RED “ record button to confirm playback speed.
6.4 Repeat playback：
In playing state, press “MENU” first, then press “ ” to select “repeat one”, “repeat all”,
“no repeat”, Press the “ RED “record key to confirm.
– no repeat
– repeat folder playback
– repeat one file
6.4.1 A-B repeat playback：
In the playing state, press “FOLDER” to set the repeat playback, now “ ” will flash to starting

time, press “FOLDER” again to set the end time “ ”stop flashing, then playback only repeat in
between starting time and end time.
Press “FOLDER” to cancel A-B repeat and back to normal playing.
6.4.2 T-MARK:
In the playing state, press “T-MARK” to set the first index mark, press “T-MARK” again to set the
second, third ,...till the tenth mark...
Each recording file can be set 10 index marks at maximum.
Press and hold “T-MARK” can show out all location to be marked by T-mark symbol.
Then press “ ” to select which T-mark want to start playing..
press “RED” button to play each T-mark set, press “FOLDER” to delete each “T-mark”...

6.5 Protecting a recording / lock file：

You can avoid to delete some recording file by accident.
Select the recording file you want to remain, press “MENU” button, the display will show out
“LOCK”, .press these 2 button “ ” the display show out “UNLOCK” that release the file,
press “RED” record key to confirm the selection..

7. Delete：
In standby mode, select the folder and file you want to delete with
Press and hold “T-MARK” to enter into delete menu.

The display will show “ ”, Press to select delete one or delete all-- ..

Press the “RED “record button to confirm the deletion.

8. Settings:
In standby mode, Press and hold “MENU” for 3 seconds to enter into the Settings, then press
“ ” go into each set up in the setting.(press “ ” button to go out of the set up).
Note: Under set up processing, Press “ ” will cancel the set up without saving and return to the
standby mode..
8.1 (MODE)Setting recording quality:

1. In standby mode, press MENU for 3 seconds.

2. Press to select the function.
3. Press to select the mode of the recording quality that includes in 3 modes
HQ – High Quality,
Format: WAV, 384 kbit/s
SP – (Standard Quality) ,
Format: WAV, 128 kbit/s
LP – (Longtime Record) ,
 Format: WAV, 32 kbit/s
4. Press the “ RED “record key to confirm the change.
5. Press the“ ”stop button to exit the set up
8.2(LED) Turn on /off the record light.

The next setting menu is LED power on/off:

Press to select LED on or off.
Press the”RED” key to confirm the selection.
Press the ” ” stop key to exit the menu.

8.3 (SENS)Setting microphone sensitivity:

This setting can adjust the sensitivity, cut background noises to adapt to the environment.
Press to select the recording quality. The selected microphone/recording sensitivity
symbol is shown on the display:
H – high sensitivity
L – low sensitivity
Press the “RED” key to confirm.
Press the ” ” stop key to exit the menu.

8.4 (VOR)Enable/disable voice-activated recording:

If voice-activated recording(VOR) is in “ON” mode, the recording only start when the device
detect voice from the line-in jack( microphone symbol ), the recording pause if no any voice to be
detected, it will continue to record once detect any voice .
Press to switch ON or OFF, to enable/disable voice activation(VOR).
Press “REC” key to confirm the selection. If the voice activation is in “ ON “ mode, the screen will
display .
Press the ” ” stop key to exit the menu,

8.5 (BEEP)Turn on/off keypad tone:

Press , to enable/disable the keypad tones.

Press the “REC” key to confirm.
Press the ” ” stop key to exit the menu.

8.6 (LISTEN)Recording monitor

If you would like to listen the recording when the recording is in process, please connect the
earphone and make the “ LISTEN “ function in “ON“ mode.

3. Press to select ON or OFF.

4. Press the “REC” key to confirm.
5. Press the stop key to exit the menu.

8.7 (AUTO-OFF):

The device is power off automatically if no any operation within a period of time (the time can be
adjusted by the button ).
.Press the button to select 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes.
Press the “REC” key to confirm.
Press the ” ” stop key to exit the menu,

8.8 Setting date & time:

The date and time will be saved as the recording time.

Press to select year/month/day/hour/minute/second
Press “ + / –” to set the numbers.
Press the “REC” key to confirm.
Press the ” ” stop key to exit the menu.
8.9(FMT) Memory formatting:

This feature can delete all data and files if it is in “YES” mode.

Press to select the function.

Select NO or YES by pressing .

Press the “REC” key to confirm.

Press the ” ” stop key to exit the menu,

8.10 (RESTOR)Device reset:

This function make the unit to return to the default settings :

All the recording file and others file in the unit will be deleted when activate the function.

Press to select the function.

Select NO or YES by pressing .

Press the “REC” key to confirm.
Press the ” ” stop key to exit the menu,

8.11 (DIVIDE)Setting auto divide

This function can divide very longtime recordings into some parts, if the recording for a meeting
very long, the user can set time a stop point and start point for a new recording, default setting
include OFF, 30mins or 60mins.
Press , to select 30mins, 60 mins, or switch the feature to OFF.
Press the “REC” key to confirm.
Press the ” ” stop key to exit the menu,

8.12 Display the remain recording in memory.

Press to select the function. The remaining memory space display in megabytes .

Press the “REC” key to confirm.

Press the ” ” stop key to exit the menu..
