2. Any instruments to be used should be provided by the participants.
2. The jingle must be an original composition and must not have been used as entry in any song
competitions.
3. The content of the jingle must be lively, appealing, creative and must highlight the nutrition month
theme
4. The use of offensive and rude words is strictly prohibited.
5. Any musical instrument can be used as accompaniment at the composer’s discretion.
6. The jingle must be in mp4 format and must be submitted in CD.
7. Introduction and explanation of the song as part of the entry is not necessary.
8. All entries must be placed inside a brown envelope with name at the back to include the following
information:
- Properly labelled CD with the track title, composer/performer’s name
- lyrics of the song typewritten or printed legibly in a legal size bond paper.
The song may be in Filipino, English or a combination.
9. The following criteria shall be used in judging:
COMPOSITION - 40% (catchy melody, lively music, rhythm and recall)
RELEVANCE TO THE THEME - 20%
LYRIC CONTENT - 15% (originality, clarity of message, language and phrasing)
CREATIVITY - 15% (use of structure, instruments and vocals)
APPEAL/IMPACT - 10%

GUIDELINES
I. CONCEPT AND THEME
• Each class shall compose an original jingle that will utilize and incorporate various Kalinga instrumentswith
any western instrument available.
• The song has to be in Filipino.
• All entries should be guided by the theme for Buwan ng Wika:
II. TIME
• The Jingle can be less but should be not more than three minutes.
III. GRADING
Criteria for grading will be as follows:
1. Lyrics – 25%
(Use of Language, Interpretation and Development of the Theme, Creativity)
2. Melody & Harmony – 30%
(Arrangement)
3. Originality and Creativity – 25%
4. Performance and Presentation – 10%
5. Over All Impact – 10%
TOTAL POINTS – 100%
