2 Young people who are impacting the world


A Imagine you have the opportunity to interview a young person who is saying or doing things
to improve life conditions around the world. You must ask questions to find out if the person
does the actions related to the pictures below.

Greta Thunberg Greta Thunberg é uma jovem sueca. Em 2018, quando tinha 15 anos,
ela começou a protestar, em frente ao parlamento sueco . Ela
segurava uma placa dizendo "Greve Escolar pelo Clima", para
pressionar o governo Sueco a cumprir as metas de emissões de
carbono. Sua pequena campanha teve um efeito global, inspirando
milhares de jovens em todo o mundo a organizar suas próprias greves.
Em dezembro de 2018, mais de 20.000 alunos - do Reino Unido ao
Japão - se juntaram a ela faltando às aulas para protestar. Desde
então, Greta tem sido uma voz potente a falar sobre a necessidade e
urgência de preservação de condições climáticas para o bem estar de
todos.

Um ano depois, ela recebeu a primeira de três indicações ao


Prêmio Nobel da Paz por ativismo climático.
