1. Important Keyboard’s operation order
I : Zoom-in / move pointer to target then click “I” to zoom in

O : Zoom-Out / move pointer to target then click “O” to zoom out

T : Top view / click “T” when want to see top view

F : Full screen / click “F” when want to see full screen for current opened window

Q : Quit current operation order / click “Q” when want to finish the operation order

C : Center / move pointer to target then click “C” to setting the center of window

V : Node marker / click “V” to show all node markers in window

D : Detail / click the target line then click “D” to see the element detail

K : Key-in coordinates / after select icon for draw point or line, can click “K” to key in
coordinate x, y, z

A : Key-in angle / after select icon for draw point or line and draw the first point already, can
click “A” to key in the angle for next drawing point

Z : Key-in elevation / after select icon for draw point or line and move the pointer to the target
then we can click “Z” to key in elevation to draw the point there

S : Snap to point / after select icon for draw point or line, we can move pointer near the node
of another element then click “S” to snap the drawing to that node

W : Show window / move pointer to first point then click “W” then move pointer cross a target
then left click the mouse the view the window between that two points

F5 : Insert Row / click the row then click “F5” to insert row

F6 : Delete Row / click the row then click “F6” to delete row

Back space : Undo / click “back space” to active undo window

Number 0-9 : Standard view point / click the number to see the window in many standard view

3.1Levee Bank design

1.Create new Layer : Right click/Create

2.Key in layer name/Click OK

Select location and fix top elevation then draw the first control line

contour line (1) /click second point (2) /click “Q” to finish

Move pointer for offset direction then left click

3.2Diversion design

1.Create new Layer : Right


click/Create

2.Key in Layer name/Click “OK”

Fix Location and elevation then

Now we got the bottom of diversion already as spec


2.5 m wide, upper level +25 msl, lower level +24 msl

Note: we fix bottom at +25, now project to
28, mean bottom ditch deep 3 m, it’s up to
excavator size (Arm length)
1.Click Projection icon

2.Click project to elevation


3.Key in target elevation

4.Key in bench slope

5.Click “CAD Apply”

(move pointer near the node then use “S” in keyboard to snap)

1.Right click / Create

Create new layer for Disposal

2.Key in layer name then click “OK”

Select location for disposal then design

2.Click first point to draw

3.If want to fix angle to draw


we can use icon “A” in
keyboard then key in angle

4.If want to finish fixed angle or


fixed distance, Right click/Free

To select elevation, we can consider from


contour that the first single bench shoule
not too high from topo after projection

In this case we select +40 msl because
topo contour around polygon is +30 msl,
it’s mean bench high about 10 m after
projection

Now project the polygon to topo

3.4Mine pit design

In case of have no contour of coal floor yet, should


create it first but if have it already, can direct to
pit design step

1.Page/change product/Stratmodel

2.To create contour of coal floor,

7.Select smoothing type

1.Fill in all

2.Select coal seam

3.Select floor
8.Key in annotation frequency for contour ( 5 is mean the
result contour will show elevation number every 5 m
4.Select output design file

9.Key in contour interval ( 1 is mean the result contour will


show line every 1 m )
5.Key in output layer

10.Select page “Domain”

11.In case of want to limit the contour only in site or out site
boundary will do this step (Right click/Pick/Double click at
polygon boundary )

To attach file from another design file

lower contour
