Statement of the problem

1. The researchers had gathered data from 10 companies – 5 government owned and 5 private
companies. Data consisting of their yearly sales during the pandemic was obtained.
How significantly different is the performance of private company compared to
government owned company during the pandemic?
Null Hypothesis: There is no significant difference in the performance of private
company compared to government owned company during the pandemic.
Alternative Hypothesis: There is a significant difference in the performance of private
company compared to government owned company during the pandemic.
