Using the Help Feature


When you tap on the (help) mark that’s shown
on the video shooting screen or the editing screen,
help indicators are shown on the buttons and
icons that you see on the screen.
Tap on a button or icon that’s shown with an
indicator to get help on that feature.

Shooting Video

Shooting with Multiple Cameras (Multi-


camera Video Shooting)
You can shoot videos with a combination of up to
four iPhones or iPads (hereafter “devices”) at the
same time.
The device you use to control the other devices
when shooting videos is called the “controller”, and
all others are the “remote” devices.
* To use your devices, you must install
“4XCamera Maker” on each one.

1. Launch “4XCamera Maker” on the


controller and on the remote devices.
2. On the video shooting screen of the
controller, tap (camera).

3. Tap the devices that you want to use as
remotes.

4. Tap “Accept” (or “Approve”) on the remote


device screen.
Now you’ve linked the controller with the
remote devices.

5. Tap the (record) button on the


controller.

The video starts recording.


Tap again to stop.

MEMO
¹¹ To reshoot, tap the (TAKE) to switch
between takes. You can shoot up to five takes.

¹¹ Tap to preview the camera images from the
remote device.

* The remote device preview is disabled while


videos are been shot.
* The videos shot on each remote device are
saved to those devices respectively. When
switching to the edit screen, the video
recorded in the current take is automatically
transferred to the controller device.
* If you want to keep the take that you shot,
switch to a different take. After shooting a
video, if you switch to the edit screen after
selecting the take that you want, you can start
editing with the desired take.

Shooting with a Single Camera (Single-
camera Video Shooting)
Here’s how to use a single device to shoot video.

1. Tap the (record) button.

The video starts recording.


Tap again to stop.

MEMO
To reshoot, tap the (TAKE) to switch
between takes. You can shoot up to five takes.

Shooting While Playing Back Music or Video
(Guide Video Shooting)
You can shoot a video while a music track with
accompaniment or a video is playing back.
Two types of files can be used as guides.
¹¹ Music files saved in a music app on your device
¹¹ Video files saved in the camera roll of your device
* Music stored in Apple Music or as files on your
network can’t be used.
* Some videos may not be used due to their
frame rate, such as videos created externally.

1. Tap (guide) to select the guide type.

2. Select a file by following the onscreen


instructions.

3. Tap the (record) button.

The video starts recording.


If you are using a video as a guide, the video
preview is shown.
Tap again to stop.

MEMO
¹¹ If you’re doing multi-camera video shooting,
the guide audio is played back through the
controller device.
¹¹ We recommend using earphones or an audio
device such as the GO:MIXER PRO-X to play
back the guide audio.
When using the GO:MIXER PRO-X, check the
[LOOP BACK] switch setting.
The guide audio is also recorded.
LOOP We recommend this setting when you want
BACK=ON to shoot a video while karaoke music is
playing in the background.
The guide audio is not recorded.

LOOP We recommend this setting when you


BACK=OFF want to record separate musical instrument
performances or adjust the volume balance
when editing.

Editing a Video
Here’s how to edit the videos you shoot.

Opening the Edit Screen

1. On the video shooting screen, tap


(edit).
The edit screen appears.

* If you’re doing multi-camera shooting, the
video is transferred from the remote device.
The link screen is shown if the remote device is
not linked. Follow the onscreen instructions to
relink the device.
* If you shot the video using guide video
shooting, the following screen is shown. Select
the check box of the video you want to edit,
and tap “Start editing”.

Automatically Editing a Video
Here’s how to automatically edit the videos you shoot.
You can select from templates such as those that
use frequent split screens, templates that match
certain musical genres and more.

1. Tap (AUTO).

still image to edit.

3. Finish up the editing by moving, deleting
or adding the editing items that are
inserted.

Manually Editing a Video
Here’s how to manually edit the videos you shoot.

1. Tap (MANUAL).

You can tap (add video) to add a video or
still image to edit.

2. Tap the item to edit and then tap an edit
point on the timeline.

As with splitting the screen, if you’ve selected


an item to edit for which multiple videos are
targeted, tap the videos in the order you wish
to place them into the split screens.

¹¹ Pinch left-right on the timeline to zoom in or out
of the timeline display.

Adjusting a Video’s Volume


Here’s how to adjust the volume of a video.
All audio is muted, except for the audio from the
first video you loaded into the edit screen (the
reference video).
Unmute the video whose audio you wish to use,
and adjust the volume.

1. Tap (Volume).

Adjusting the Video’s Length (Trimming)


You can edit the length of the reference video.

1. Tap (video adjustment).

2. Drag the start/end points of the reference


video (indicated by a yellow box) to the
left or right.

By tapping and holding the reference video,
you can set the current position as the start
point or end point.
* The length of videos besides the reference
video can’t be changed.

Adjusting the Start Point of a Video You’ve


Added
You can adjust the start point of a video you’ve
added.

1. Tap (video adjustment).

2. Drag the video to the left or right.

Settings Menu
In the settings menu, you can configure settings
such as the aspect ratio and fade-in/fade-out. You
can also save the videos you edit as well as load
the videos you’ve exported.

Saving/loading a
project

Saving/loading a project
You can save the video that you’re currently
editing as a single project. Up to 10 projects (A–J)
can be saved.
The video files being edited, the editing item
points, aspect ratio and fade-in/fade-out settings
are saved in the project.

Save project (Save)


1. Tap the project to save (A–J).
Projects already saved are marked with an
asterisk.

2. Input the project name, keywords and


other information into the MEMO field.
3. Tap the [Save] button.
This saves the project.

Load project (Load)


1. Tap the project to load (A–J).
2. Tap the [Load] button.
This loads the project.

Delete project (Delete)


1. Tap the project to delete (A–J).
2. Tap the [Del] button.
This deletes the project.

Exporting the Edited Video


After you’ve finished editing, export your video to
a file as shown below.

1. Tap (save video).

2. Tap the ”Save as a Movie”.

The video files you edit are saved in the camera


roll of your device.
