An assessment of receptive and expressive language skills was conducted. The following is a summary
of the test results.
The Comprehensive Test of Spoken Language-Second Edition was administered (CASL-2) to assess his
oral language skills using a battery of tests that assess the oral language skills that children and
adolescents need to become literate as well as to succeed in school and in the work environment.
___overall General Language Ability Index (GLAI) is a Standard Score of 80 and a Percentile of 9th.
____social pragmatic skills are good for general social interactions however he struggles to describe
objects, thoughts and ideas clearly. struggles with understanding the meaning of spoken messages
independent of a literal interpretation. In addition, ___ has difficulty using acquired world knowledge to
derive meaning from inferences in spoken language.
