PROJECT 1 INTRODUCTION

APPLICATION CONDITIONS
2.Eligibility
All applicants shall be:

a) Non-Chinese citizens;

b) Should be friendly to China, have no criminal record, and abide by the laws and
regulations of the Chinese government and the rules and regulations of the school;

c) In good physical and mental conditions, and with a good record of academic
performance and conduct:

d) Aspiring to work in the Chinese language education and related fields;

e) Aged between16 and 35 (as of 1st September, 2022), with the special allowance for the
age limit of 45 for applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers and that of
25 for undergraduate student applicants.

3. 奖学金类别及申请条件Scholarship Types and Qualification

A. Chinese Language Teacher Programme

1. Scholarship for Doctor's Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (DTCSOL)

(1) in September 2022 and provides scholarship for a maximum of 4 academic years.

(2) shall hold a Master's degree in majors such as Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language,
Linguistics, or Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.

(3) HSK Test (Level 6)≥ 200, HSKK (Advanced Level)≥ 60.

(4)Priority will be given to applicants who may provide a work contract with a teaching
institution upon completing their studies in China or a proof to the same effect.
2. Scholarship for Master's Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL)

(1)in September 2022 and provides scholarship for a maximum of 2 academic years.

(2) Hold a Bachelor’s degree

(3) HSK 5 ≥ 210；HSKK (Intermediate Level) ≥60

(4) Priority will be given to applicants who may provide a work contract with a teaching
institution upon completing their studies in China or a proof to the same effect.
3. Scholarship for Bachelor's Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (BTCSOL)

(1)in September 2022 and provides scholarship for a maximum of 4 academic years.

(2) hold a senior high school diploma

(3) HSK 4 ≥ 210；HSKK (Intermediate Level) ≥60

4. Scholarship for One-Academic-Year Study

(1) In September 2022, and provides scholarship for a maximum of 11 months.

(2) <1> TCSOL(Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) —— HSK 3≥270,

an HSKK test score is required

<2> Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History, Chinese Philosophy, etc.
—— HSK 4≥180, HSKK (Intermediate Level)≥60

<3> Chinese Language Study—— HSK 3≥210,

Priority will be given to applicants who provide an HSKK test score.

5. Scholarship for One-Semester Study

(1) Either in September 2022 or March 2023, and provides scholarship of a maximum of
5 months.

(2) Applicants holding the X1 or X2 visa are not eligible.

(3) <1> TCSOL, Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History, Chinese Philosophy, etc.
——HSK3≥180, and an HSKK test score is required.

<2> Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taiji Culture

An HSK test score is required. Priority will be given to applicants who provide
an HSKK test score.
B. Scholarship for Online Programmes

1. Online Programme for One-Academic-Year Chinese Language Study

(1) In September or March each year;

(2) HSK≥180，HSKK scores are preferred.

2. Online Programme for One-Semester Chinese Language Study

(1) In September or March each year

(2) applicants must have an HSK score (no specific requirements for level or score).
APPLICATION PROCEDURES

01 from 1 March, 2022, Start the application on the website

02 log on to search for recommending institutions and host institutions

03 upload application materials online

04 track the application progress, comments and results

05 confirm with the host institutions to go through the procedures of studying in China
print out the scholarship certificate online
register at host institutions on the designated date as per the letter of admission.

04 The Living allowance:

(1) undergraduates, one-academic-year study students and one-semester students - 2500 CNY per
moth per person;
(2) MTCSOL students, the monthly allowance is 3000 CNY per person;
(3) DTCSOL students, the monthly allowance is 3500 CNY per person.

 6. Application Documents For all applicants:

01 A scanned copy of passport photo page

A scanned copy of score reports of the HSK and HSKK tests

(within the two-year validity);

03 A reference letter by the head of the recommending institutions

 Application Materials For degree scholarship programme applicants:

A certification of the highest education diploma (or proof of expected
graduation) and an official transcript;

Applicants of the Scholarship for D'TCSOL students are required to provide 2

05 reference letters from professors or associate professors or experts with
equivalent professional and technical titles in relevant fields and a 3000-word
personal statement in Chinese

Applicants of the Scholarship for MTCSOL students are required to

provide 2 reference letters from professors or associate professors
 Application Materials For specific applicants:

Applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers shall provide

proof of employment as well as a reference letter by the employer.

Applicants under the age of 18 shall provide certified documents of

designation signed by their entrusted legal guardians in China

Applicants shall also provide additional documents required by the host

institutions.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS
2.Eligibility
All applicants shall be:

Non-Chinese citizens, be in good health both mentally and physically;

Age Limited:

(1) Applying for Undergraduate programs — a High School graduate under the age of 25

(2) Applying for Master’s programs — a Bachelor’s Degree holder under the age of 35

(3) Applying for Doctoral programs — a Master’s Degree holder under the age of 40
2.Eligibility
All applicants shall be:

Non-Chinese citizens, be in good health both mentally and physically;

Language Level Limited:

(1) Applying for Chinese-taught undergraduate or general scholar programs (studying

Chinese language are exempted) - at least acquired HSK Level 3

(2) Applying for Chinese-taught Master’s or Doctoral Programs - at least acquired HSK Level 4

(3) Meet the Admission Requirements of the Applied Universities in terms of Academic Ability,

Language Proficiency and other relevant criterial.
