Weather
I’m going to talk about the kind of weather that I enjoy the most. I am always in favor of
Spring it’s the beginning of life, the end of frozen bitten Winter and the open of the
boiling hot Summer. Unlike the Autumn when leaves are becoming to vivid yellow, it is
easy to catch a glimpse/clem sì/ of greenish leaves starting to unfold. And especially the
cherry blossom, it is such an exquisitely lovely feeling to walk in the middle of blossom
field with a sense of home. Spring is an ideal time to participate in a lot of outdoor
activities. Lunar New Year is taken place in the beginning of February/fe brờ rì/, when
people rush their feet off in hurry to come back home for having family reunion/ ri niu nì
ừn/ parties to recharge battery. There are so many reasons I am in love with Spring. First,
the musical orchestras by birds. They start their symphony with chirping and chattering in
the very early morning. Moreover, the sun is high and shines bright. It awakes the
fragrance/ phây gờ rèn/ of flowers.. I must say the smell is the most subtle /sắt đò/ of
senses touched by Spring.
1. How do different seasons affect the lifestyle of people?
Well, I believe that the climate has obvious effects on what people tend to do.
In the summer people tend to go for a dip to cool themselves down. In the winter, they
have tendency to curl in a warm blanket like a hibernated bear try to escape the chilly
weather. That means you have to have different kinds of clothes for each season.
2. How to different seasons affect the way people feel?
I believe that the different weather exerts impacts on people’s mood.
For example in the summer people seem to be more energetic and the heat can make them
lose their temper. While in the winter, the gloomy and foggy days can engulf people
deeply in solitary.
3. What are some other examples of bad weather in the world? Do you think there is
anything that we can do to prevent bad weather?
We are witnessing the significant changes in climate such as global warming, acid rain,
ozone depletion,or a lot of more. All of them are made by human being. Hence, it is not
only the responsibility of governours but also individuals. The government and citizens
should shoulder their responsibility to entact proper laws to protect the environment.

Sport
I would like to talk about my favorite sport, which is badminton, a popular sport in
Vietnam. I first knew about it when I was 5 years old. My father thought that I was very
lazy so he forced me to join a badminton training course with his friends. I have to admit
that even though I was a bit upset for being made to do something against my will, I soon
got into it after only a week. Unfortunately, these days, I mostly spend my day in my
house to do exercise So, I do not have any time for badminton anymore. Anyway, I still
love this sport for several reasons: First, it helped me to lose /lu:z/ some weight which led
to better health. Second, when I practiced the sport in the sports center near my house, I
made plenty of cool friends who supported me a lot in life. Last but not least, after
knowing this sport, I would say for sure I could overcome my timidity/tờ me đì ty/ of
being a big size person and make an effort to change my look. In conclusion, I suggest
this sport is a must-have pastime for everyone.
1. What do Vietnamese people think about sports and other physical activities?
From my own perspective, living standard of Vietnamese is improved, people see sports
and physical activities as entertainment rather than forms of exercise. In the past, physical
activities merely used to be doing jobs or household chores. However, nowadays, most
people play such sports as bia or golf in order to have fun and make friends.
2. What sports or forms of physical exercise are most popular in VN?
The youngsters in VN are interested in such sports as basketball, baseball, tennis
football, especially golf and bia . However, the elderly people are keen on some relaxing
ones such as doing yoga and meditation.

exercise?
In the past, the modern people was not as improved as nowadays, because people had to
spend time earning a living. However, nowadays, there are many gyms built so people
can go to there or take part in outdoor activities to keep themselves in good shape and
interact with others.
4. Why do you think modern people do less exercise than before?
Due to keen competition in modern society, people are getting busyness. Many people
have to work long hours, sticking themselves to the desk eyes to the screen, which means
they are more sedentary. Besides, there is an abundance of online entertainment, which
deprives people of time spent for outdoor activities.
5. What benefits do people derive from doing exercise?
Well, I must say there are many advantages which people can get from doing exercise.
First, regular exercise and physical activity may help you control your weight, exercise
plays an important role in controlling your weight and preventing obesity. Moreover, that
can improve your mental health and mood. During exercise, your body releases
chemicals that can improve your mood and make you feel more relaxed.
6. What do you think will be the physical effects if children spend all time sitting in
front of TV or computer?
While watching TV, kids are inactive and have snacks, so called couch potato.
Besides, they might get such diseases as heart attack and diabetes due to high cholesterol.
Moreover, when children spend all their time watching television, that makes them
unable to improve their health and will become weak and timid.
7. Do you think companies should provide more facilities for people to exercise at work?
I think companies should endorse fitness. This leads to more interaction and boosts
cooperation between employees. Those who are active might have better mood, which
means increasing productivity.
8. Do you think the government should spend money on providing more exercise
facilities for people?
I think the government should do it. First, it helps citizens can do exercise with the best
facilities and they will be able to improve their health. Moreover, when people can
improve their health, they will work with higher productivity and that is very beneficial to
the country's economy.
