The 5 Biggest Problems

That Keep Fitness
Professionals From Earning
$100,000.00 Or More A Year
-- And How We've Solved
Them

by Pat Rigsby
Dear Fellow Fitness Professional,

Thank you grabbing your copy of this Report, which I've prepared, to share with you
discoveries, experiences and information that quite literally transformed both my career and
the career of fitness professional extraordinaire Alwyn Cosgrove. Both of us went from a
series of struggles, barely getting by and financial frustrations to the point today which both
of us own tremendously successful fitness companies, earn six-figure incomes and work less
than when we were barely making ends meet.

If you've often thought that you're a much better trainer than your bank account indicates,
this information is for you.

Yes, I am going to talk about making money. I' m going to share some things with you that
can make you, well, rich! Does that disturb you? At first, it may strike you as too good to be
true. I assure you it isn't. It's true. I'm not saying you'll be earning $250,000 overnight, but I
am saying that I will teach you how we’ve built businesses that far surpass that amount. I
have a profound belief in the value of what you and I do and we deserve incomes and
financial stability comparable to other expert professionals. And, I have discovered that does
not and will not happen by accident, or just by being a great trainer. (Some of the finest
fitness professionals I've ever met are starving, struggling each month just to pay the rent,
disappointing their families.)

If you're already making all the money you need or want . . . or you insist on stubbornly
believing in some kind of implicit vow of poverty . . . you might as well stop reading now.

And I'll tell you something else: I'm convinced I'm making more of an impact helping others
achieve their fitness goals and a better quality of life as a financially successful fitness
professional. First of all, I can concentrate on delivering results to our clients -- not worrying
about how I'm going to pay the bills - - which grants me financial freedom from struggling
just to survive in this economic environment. And, because I’ve hired more fitness
professionals so we can provide an even bigger impact than I ever could have alone.

So, I am going to talk about money, making money, about how to become: in the words of
one of my disbelieving friends, ". . .a rich personal trainer".

I' m also going to talk about "building a business". My admittedly informal research indicates
our typical colleague makes less than $35,000.00 a year . . . works long, hard hours, often 6
day weeks, often "on call" at 5 a.m. or 8 p.m. . . . struggles with slumps, erratic cash flow . . .
worries about just "getting by". . .

By contrast, Alwyn and I run personal training businesses that each makes several hundred
thousand dollars a year and neither of us trains clients anymore. We can both travel and
never see a dip in our income. If we want to work from home more, take days off or have
to miss work (Alwyn is recovering from long battle with cancer) – we can without financially
suffering.
So, do we know some things YOU can benefit from? Please understand: I don't brag easily.
I’ve had far too many struggles to not be completely appreciative of the success I’ve enjoyed
and Alwyn feels the same. So we’re NOT tooting our own horns just to hear the music. But
you have to know that we weren’t born with silver spoons in our mouths. We’ve worked
hard, made mistakes and learned from them. What WE HAVE achieved is what many
fitness professionals consider DREAM BUSINESSES . . . and we've done it with
STRATEGIES you and others can use.

Are you open-minded? Willing to do better? To innovate?

If so, then please find a quiet, private place, grab a green tea or a bottle of water, sit back,
kick off your shoes, and carefully consider everything I have to say.

Let's start by saying that I'm not "magical". I'm not a "born salesman", a natural promoter.
There are smarter (than me…maybe not Alwyn ), more talented and there are certainly
harder working fitness professionals. But through several conversations, Alwyn and I
discovered that what set us apart from the pack when it came to running successful personal
training businesses is that we both IDENTIFIED THE FIVE BIGGEST
"ROADBLOCKS" TO EARNING $100,000.00 A YEAR OR MORE AS A FITNESS
PROFESSIONAL . . . the seven reasons why even good trainers fail to earn over
$100,000.00 a year . . . and we both devised remarkably similar STRATEGIES that
ELIMINATE THESE PROBLEMS.

How We Broke Through The Five Roadblocks

Roadblock #1: An Inability To Attract New Prospects.

Many fitness pros I've talked with detest the entire idea of "marketing". They find it difficult
and frustrating. And when thinking about the way we've been taught or not taught to
market, it is difficult! So, most fitness pros put off doing things to get new clients--
procrastinate, avoid, deny, and suffer erratic ups-and-downs.

Most fitness professionals know next to nothing about "marketing". When they actually do
something, they're often ‘way off the mark’ with what works and what doesn’t. They try this
or that. They waste huge amounts of money. (In my early years, I tried some pretty
embarrassing things, dumb things, COSTLY things, too.)

I got really sick of playing ‘follow the leader’ doing what the other trainers I knew did for
marketing. It was a waste of time and money.

So I went outside of our industry and I looked at highly successful professionals form other
industries and studied, researched and tested…and I assembled a collection of very effective
ideas for ATTRACTING new clients, but, more important, my big breakthrough came
when I learned about "Direct Marketing" and "Direct Response Advertising", in actuality,
scientific advertising.

And every trip to the bank makes me grateful I did .

What Alwyn and I each wound up with along the way was a true SYSTEM that REPLACES
the struggle, the ups-and-downs, takes the mystery out of marketing and lets us set and then
automatically achieve income goals. We each put pieces together and INVENTED
SYSTEMS for "magnetically" attracting lots of new clients.

Our System can provide real

SUCCESS…CONSISTENCY…PREDICTABILITY….STABILITY…. virtually as many
new clients as you want . . . and better "quality" clients, too. The kind we all want: motivated
and committed.

Roadblock #2: An Inability To Turn Prospects Into Clients.

I don’t know one fitness professional that got into our industry because they liked to sell.

Not one.

I hear it over and over…‘I don’t like to sell. I just want to train.’ We got into this industry
because we loved exercise, or had a strong desire to help people…or just maybe liked being
around the gym. But not because we wanted to sound like used car salesmen.

But most fitness pros apprehension to sales stems from two things:

1. We see how health clubs approach sales and hate it.

2. We don’t have confidence in what we’re selling.

Alwyn and I both faced the same apprehensions. But we each came up with systematic
approaches to turning our prospects into clients without resorting to ‘hard sell’ tactics. We
developed approaches that allowed us to become ‘problem solvers’ and ‘assistant buyers’.

Better yet, we’ve been able to teach our systematic approach to sales to each of our staffs
and turned trainers terrified of selling into sales superstars. Our system will make turning
prospects into high paying clients the easiest part of your job.

Roadblock #3 Not Understanding The Lifetime Value Of Clients

Marketing is not just about finding new clients, but keeping those you’ve already won
over and encouraging them to buy from you repeatedly, for years. That’s where the
real profits can be harvested.

According to world-famous marketer Jay Abraham, there are only 3 ways to grow any
business:

1. Increase the number of clients…

2. Increase the unit value of each purchase transaction…
3. Increase the number of purchases each client makes…
The easiest and least-costly sale you’ll ever make is to an existing client. These folks have already
trusted you to deliver your service. You don’t have to sell them again on the merits of
doing business with you, instead of your competitor down the street.

Existing clients are high-probability prospects for your next related offering. But most
fitness professionals don’t bother with the lifetime value of their clients. They’re
always chasing the next client and don’t even have complimentary offerings to
present to their loyal client base.

Alwyn and I both struggled with this early on, but now we both have systematic
approaches to maximizing the lifetime value of each of our clients. Now our
companies’ clients spend more with our businesses each month and stay with us
for over 18 months on average – and we’re talking about hundreds of clients. If
you want to generate wealth as a fitness professional, you have to maximize the
value that each of your clients provides your business.

Roadblock #3: Not Enough Hours In The Day.

There ARE only so many hours in a day. You can only see X-number of clients. And
besides, you have time consumed by other "stuff", too . . . bookkeeping, designing programs,
trying to market, and so on.

Most fitness pros I know are terrorized by time.

‘How can I improve my income?’ the trainer asks -- I'm already working myself to death.

Well, that's my point. To quote a cliche, ‘we had to learn how to work smarter, not harder.’
And I did. Again, we went outside the standard one-on-one personal training culture to look
at other methods of delivering instruction, other time management methods, and ways to
"multiply ourselves". We both ultimately adopted and refined approaches to delivering
results to clients that allowed me to legitimately multiply the number of ‘working hours’ we
each had.

We can show you the exact same ways to leverage your time and overcome the time /
money barrier. And once you free yourself from the ‘one client’s money for my time’
shackles – they opportunities for you to grow your business and your income
DRAMATICALLY improve.

Roadblock #4: No Systems.

Most fitness professionals treat their businesses like teenagers treat their summer grass
cutting jobs. They give themselves a free pass by saying ‘I’m not a businessperson, I’m
trainer.’

This usually means they’re a broke trainer.

I knew the ‘fly by the seat of your pants’ wasn’t what I’d subscribe to when I started a
business from my coaching days. I had to have a detailed plan for every practice in order to
be successful. When I launched my own business, I understood that I needed a ‘playbook’
that addressed everything – but I didn’t know where to start. Finally, I painstakingly started
to compile everything that I could that would help me systematically deliver results to clients.
I did the same for marketing and then for training new staff members. Before long I had
developed a ‘turn-key’ approach to running my business that could be executed by virtually
anyone. Alwyn was forced to do the same thing as the demand for his services rapidly
outgrew the time he had available and he had to start delegating tasks to others.

I am convinced that this is one of the two most overlooked aspects of running a successful
business as a fitness professional and holds more trainers back from earning ‘big bucks’ than
anything else.

Roadblock #5: Not Knowing Your Numbers

This is the second of the overlooked aspects involved in running a successful business and
plagues most fitness pros I know. Even when trainers begin to embrace marketing or
improve their approach to sales, they almost invariably continue to ignore things like their
true operating expenses, their per session net and their ROI for their marketing efforts. And
these aren’t even half of the numbers that a fitness pro should track and understand.

In my business, the ‘outgoings’ are tracked just as diligently as the ‘incomings’, but it wasn’t
always that way. Early on, when we started turning the corner and we’d make as much in a
month as we had in the previous six – we didn’t understand why we still weren’t taking
home big paychecks. We quickly began to understand the difference between ‘gross’ and
‘net.’

As Alwyn says…if you aren’t tracking and understanding your numbers – your not running a
business. You’re playing a game.

It wouldn’t be fair to sit here and tell you that we’ve figured our how to break through these
roadblocks without offering you a solution too, so we've "built" a solution to all 5 of these
roadblocks - and we’re willing to share it with you.

First, let me tell you what our System is NOT.

It is NOT a lot of rah-rah motivation, neuro-linguini psycho-babble, slogans, affirmations,

positive thinking . . . it is NOT tired old advice about getting down to the Chamber mixers,
meeting people . . . it is NOT made up of gimmicks . . . it is NOT a get-rich-quick scam. . . a
rip-off, con-job on the unsuspecting. . . it is NOT outrageously expensive . . . it is NOT
particularly difficult.

IT IS:

1. PROVEN. These are not "Pat and Alwyn's IDEAS". The question is NOT "do these
systems work" -- it, frankly, is "will you work with it?" Will you be open-minded and
progressive enough to try it?
2. PROFESSIONAL. Our System is kind of like a McDonald's franchise. Follow the
directions. And rest assured that our methods are ethical and professional. (By the way, a
typical "small" franchise -- which is really a "system" for operating a particular business
successfully - requires fees of $25,000.00 and up. We've included just about everything that’d
be in a franchise.

3. PROFITABLE. This System is ONLY for the fitness professional seeking an income of
no less than SIX FIGURES and up to over one quarter million per year. But remember
what Harry Truman said, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." Like we said-
it’s not a get rich quick scheme – you’ll have to do the work.

4. FLEXIBLE. There are "component parts" in our System, so you can use some, skip
others . . . start slow or fast . . . test.

5. RESULTS ORIENTED. Our System is set up to give you clearly measurable results
within a week or two of understanding the principles and putting them to work for you.

6. ABOUT INDEPENDENCE, HAPPINESS AND ABOVE ALL FREEDOM. By now,

you've guessed that our system isn’t only about making money and getting rich. To pay for
the entire course only takes generating a few extra sessions. In reality, one additional client
on your books will pay for this program. To create the security and peace of mind that
comes from a full book, takes more than money. It takes the experience of knowing you can
make your business what you want.

7. CONFIDENCE BUILDING. Imagine knowing your business will flourish even in the
most difficult situations, even in the most regulated and hostile environments, even in a
depressed economy and even if most of your competitors are going belly up!

8. GUARANTEED. Obviously, before this letter is over, we’re going to ask you to make a
financial commitment. We do NOT have to sell you anything. OUR lifestyle will not be
altered by any decisions you make here, although yours might. But we’re not giving 20 years
of our combined work away either. We’re going to ask you to make a fair investment in our
System and your future - - enough to separate the serious from the frivolous. But, MOST
IMPORTANT, we do stand behind what we put out, and we are going to GUARANTEE
your satisfaction AND results.

9. SIMPLY THE ONLY ONE OF IT'S KIND OUT THERE. We've checked them all. No
other fitness professional has done what we have. There are other business building tools –
but no ‘business-in-a-box’ that will work no matter whether you run a studio, train from
home or work in a health club. There is NOTHING else that provides a comprehensive
approach to building your training business that compares to what we’ve put together
available today!

“All right, so how much does this thing cost?”

When we put this system together we considered what business coaching costs. Most all the
industry experts charge $200-$600 per hour...to sit down and talk on the phone and start to
map out a complete System. Getting our System is like getting both of us, and having us
there all the time. Refer back to us whenever you need to. What’s eight hours of that worth –
not even counting the bonuses? $2,500.00? $3,500.00?

Well we’ve got good news. Alwyn and I have no intention of hitting you up for any of these
insane figures. The Ultimate Fitness Professionals Business Success System costs just
$247. But better yet – if you order during the first 48 hours– we’re giving you an ‘early
bird’ discount of $50 – so the system will only be an investment of $197!

Should we charge more? We will – but we want to get this System into the hands of as many
fitness professionals as possible as quickly as possible. So if you want to get your copy of
