Purpose: This guide pretends to give you some grammar, vocabulary and oral practice related
to units 13 and 14 to get prepared for the future quizzes (listening, grammar and oral) we are
going to have next week. It was designed to cover two hours and thirty minutes of
asynchronous work. The activities were selected considering the differences of connectivity,
equipment, general conditions and the course schedule you have to work online tasks.
General Instructions
 Do each one of the activities included in this guide.

 You have to use the class book, your class notes and the links provided. You may also
use any other links you may consider helpful, to remember, study and reinforce what
we studied in class.

 Let me know any questions you may have through the email provided.

 For the oral section, contact the partner assigned by the teacher and do the exercises
included. You may use Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WhatsApp video calls, or any other you
want to do the oral practice.

Practice

1. Go to the following link and do the exercises based on unit 13. Read the instructions
carefully. The Google Form is going to be opened until the deadline established.

3. Oral practice. Contact the partner the professor assigned (check your email for contact
information), and do the following exercises from the book. Use your own
information. Turn on your camera. Take advantage of the time and help each other
correct pronunciation, grammar structure, and intonation or vocabulary mistakes. Try
to give feedback to your partner. Take a screenshot and send it as evidence of your
meeting.
Unit 13

A. Practice the conversation on page 86, do exercises 3 and 4.

B. Practice asking and answering questions. Do exercise 2 on page 87
C. Take turns asking and answering questions with how much and how many on page
88, exercise 3. You may use other countable or uncountable nouns.
D. Take turns asking and answering questions. Do exercise 3 on page 89.
E. Share your opinions about different kinds of food. Do exercise 4 on page 90.
F. Take turns answering the questions on page 91, exercise 4.

Unit 14

G. Practice the conversation on page 92, do exercises 3 and 4.

H. Practice asking and answering questions. Do exercise 4 on page 93. You may
include any other leisure activity you know.
I. Take turns asking and answering questions about a vacation on page 95, exercise 3.
Give long answers.
J. Take turns asking and answering questions. Do exercise 3 on page 96.
K. Share your opinions about the history or culture of different places you go on
