This incubation program is meant to be used when using SmartSetTM or SmartSetProTM for first time after
installation.

The set points in the table below should be used as guidelines only and may vary between breeds, flock ages, size
of eggs and storage times. These only apply when requirements for climate inlet air and air pressures in hatchery
are being adhered to and setters are equipped and installed as specified.

Based on the extra information in the footnotes below and achieved hatch results set points might need to be
adjusted. Further information is available in Pas Reform’s Incubation Guide V6.0.

1)
The main parameter for the temperature set point is the eggshell temperature. See Analysis of eggshell temperature
(chapter 8.3 in Pas Reform Incubation Guide Broiler V6.0).
2)
The main parameter for relative humidity is egg weight loss. See Analysis of egg weight loss (chapter 8.4 in Pas Reform
Incubation Guide Broiler V6.0).
3)
If AMFTM is “ON” the ventilation (valve position) is controlled such that both relative humidity and the CO2-setpoint do
not exceed their set point. If AMFTM is “OFF” the valve positions are determined by the programmed valve set points. To
ensure the valve does not open or opens too much during the first days of incubation period AMFTM is “OFF” in the
incubation program.
4)
The frequency or the rotations per minute of the VortexTM can possibly be reduced as indicated without affecting
hatchability and chick quality at the same time saving considerably on the energy consumption.
5)
Keeping the eggs inside the setter at 68 °F (= 20 °C) at reduced frequency set point before start of preheating is an
option in case setting of eggs is done too long before onset of incubation to avoid work at inconvenient hours.

The set points in the table below should be used as guidelines only and may vary between breeds,

Based on the extra information in the footnotes below and achieved hatch results set points might

1)
When SmartWatchTM is activated ventilation (valve position) is controlled by the CO2-set point. Programmed valve
positions will only apply when SmartWatchTM is deactivated and should be seen as a back-up.
2)
The aim of these humidity set points is not to achieve them, but to avoid the hatchers humidifiers are being activated.
3)
During this period a ‘natural’ humidity peak will develop as humidity increases spontaneously during external pipping
and actual hatching of the chicks. To avoid unnecessary alarm set the “relative humidity high alarm” of the hatcher to +
35 %.
4)
This reduction of CO2-set point should only occur after the chicks start to dry. This moment can be recognized by the
actual relative humidity dropping 3 – 5 % after having achieved the humidity peak. If needed change either the moment
of set point change in the hatcher program or adjust the timer on the hatcher.
5)
Only lower the temperature if chicks are panting as a sign of being overheated. Reduce temperature in 2 small steps
(0.2 – 0.3 °F) if required rather than in one big step (0.5 °F)
6)
Relative humidity could be increased to 60 % at this moment to minimize dehydration, especially when there is a
chance that relative humidity may drop below 60 % before the chicks are pulled .

In program library SmartCenterProTM the incubation program for SmartSetProTM will
appear as below. The program is also available as an import file named
‘broiler_sea_2020.prs‘ and can be requested from service@pasreform.com

This program is meant to be used when a new hatchery with SmartSetProTM is starting
up. Based on achieved hatchability and chick quality some fine-tuning of set points
might be needed. Contact Pas Reform Academy for help if needed.

Note!: Days with same set points as previous day do not appear.

appear as below. The program is also available as an import file named
‘broiler_sea_2020.prh‘ and can be requested from service@pasreform.com

starting up. Based on achieved hatchability and chick quality some fine-tuning of set
points might be needed. Contact Pas Reform Academy for help if needed.

Note!: Days with same set points as previous day do not appear.

Note!: It is essential to take over incubation time from setter; do not start the hatcher at timer
0.00. If the hatcher is started accidentally at timer 0.00 set points remain unchanged at 98 °F, 45
%RH, 0.40 % CO2 (or 50 % air valve position).
