Setting
The story takes place in three different settings during the winter and summer
seasons, the first part takes place in Mack's house, then the Aragon Forest
and then the cabin where the tragedy happens.
Problem
Mack is in shock and mourning after Missy, the youngest of his children,
disappeared while they were spending a family vacation in the mountains of
Oregon. Days later, after an intense search, the girl is officially declared
murdered and abused at the hands of a serial killer.
Mack is still dead, until after four years, in winter, he receives a letter that
quotes him to the place where the evidence was found to point out his dead
daughter, he hated this place and thought that this letter was a bad joke. He
decided to go to find out who was at stake with something so delicate for
him, although it caught his attention that this letter was signed by God.
Development
Now Mackenzie faces the duel, changes his life and the life of everyone
within the family, this focuses on the sadness that accompanied him during
this time but which was not only sadness but also a period full of hatred and
resentment towards life, mainly claiming to God how he could allow this to
happen if he considered himself a good person and his daughter was an
innocent angel.
They doubted the existence of God, since had he existed, he would not have
allowed this atrocity. Four years later, in winter, he receives a letter, which is
basically an invitation from God to dinner, but the disturbing thing is that the
meeting is in that cabin where Missy's remains were found, which forcefully
relives his pain but still, decide to go for this invitation.
End
Mack attends the meeting and is impressed upon arrival, as the Holy Trinity
will be waiting for him. At first, he does not know them and does not know
who they are, he thinks they are Missy's murderers, but when Mack lives with
these three divine people and each one of them explains God's way of
being, they teach him that their decisions are all perfect and they prepare
him to finally say goodbye to his daughter, healing his heart and giving
forgiveness to the murderers.

Conclusion
I think it is an incredible book, personally I love reading these types of books
and even after a long time. I think it has a great teaching, it helps us to reflect
a lot, to think more about life and how we live it, to forgive, to not to judge
and condemn others in such an unfair way and above all, to know that we
are not alone in this life, there is always someone who goes by our side,
actually, I love it.
