Why I want to become a registered nurse.

Are you interested in shifting your career from a licensed practical nurse to becoming a

registered nurse? A registered nurse, in this case, is a medical professional who provides hands-

on- care within various domains in society, for example, the hospitals, prisons, homes etc.

Substantially, this is a perfect match for my long-term ambitions of working in such a context

while delivering the best of services to my clients. That said, the paper discourses some of the

fundamental reasons for my increased desire of becoming a registered nurse rather than just

being a licensed practical nurse.

One is the broader base of positions and specialization tied to an RN. As pinpointed

earlier in the introduction, a registered nurse is entitled to work under different domains, thus

depicting the freedom to work freely with minimal supervision from other nurses. With such

space, I will have a salient chance to tailor my job to match my skills, hence diversifying my

source of income to earn more. Although becoming a registered nurse is quite demanding and

consumes most of my time and money, the net worth is generally higher than that of the licensed

practical nurse, which fuels my ambitions of becoming a registered nurse.

Furthermore, RNs usually have more opportunities for professional advancement. In

recent years, most of the progress in the working environment has been gaged with skills,

expertise, and experience. Therefore, assessment is usually conducted to measure the level of

skills earned by individuals to receive promotion. In essence, the LPN occupies the bottom

position in the hierarchy of nursing doctrine, and it would be very ironic for such to receive a

higher promotion than personnel owning a degree in the same field. In other words, my path of

becoming a registered nurse will come along with increased wealth and a higher level of

education that will be good enough to guarantee me respect and make me identify with the

higher social class in society.

To sum up, RN enjoys long-term job security to serve in the medical domain, increasing

my enthusiasm and ambitions to become one. Besides, the skills leant in the field of licensed

practical nurse will be at a prospect of making my dreams come true.
