Although Harland Sanders passed away in 1980, he continues to play a significant role in
the company's branding and advertising. Colonel Sanders, as he was formerly known,
serves as a metonym for the business. KFC, a shortened version of its name, was adopted
by the company in 1991. However, as of April 2007, all signage, packaging, and
advertisements for the company now use its original name, Kentucky Fried Chicken. The
recipe for Kentucky Fried Chicken uses 11 different herb and spice blends, and it is now
being franchised throughout the rest of America. By the early 1970s, Malaysia had access to
that specific recipe. Today, KFC Malaysia still serves delicious, finger-licking-good chicken.
The majority of Malaysian citizens were drawn to its delectable aroma, which led to its
popularity among them. KFC takes pride in being a fast-food establishment that offers
customers delicious chicken along with a variety of home-style side dishes and dessert.
In 1973, the first KFC eatery debuted on Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. KFC Malaysia now
has 500 franchise locations throughout Malaysia and is still growing. KFC has been
synonymous with delicious chicken, and Malaysians have been enjoying it ever since. KFC

One of the biggest fast-food chains in the world, McDonald's has catered to people's
daily life. The original McDonald's restaurant was built by two brothers named Dick and Mac
Donald in San Bernardino, California, in 1940, launching this burger company. Prior to
opening the business in San Bernardino, they started off by selling hot dogs where they had
previously owned a hot dog stand and initially sold barbecued hot dogs. But in 1948, the
eatery was shut down before being reopened to serve hamburgers, French fries, and
milkshakes. The brothers start franchising their restaurant in 1954 as it starts to become
increasingly well-known. The first franchisee, Neil Fox, was chosen, and the following eatery
was opened in Fresno, California. After obtaining the McDonald's franchise outside of
California in 1955 as an entrepreneur and milkshake mixer salesman, Roy Kroc opened his
first McDonald's restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois, which eventually led to the creation of the
McDonald's Corporation. In 1958, the restaurant made good progress and achieved its goal
of selling 1 billion hamburgers.
