    GENERAL ENGLISH 3

    COURSE OUTLINE

    I. Assessment criteria 

    Attendance  Score: 1.25pt / week in 8 weeks.  10% 


    * You can take 1 excused absence in this term.

    Homework  Score: 1.25pt/ week in 8 weeks. 20%


    Homework MUST be submitted online E-learning before 11:59pm Friday.
    If you have <50% correct answers, you earn 50% score for that week.  

    Group work  Weekly paragraph 10%


     Each group has 4 students.
     Topics for each week can be found in the table below.

    Mid-term test  Tests will include Reading, Listening and Writing skills 40%
    Time:
    Week 5: 60 minute-test
    - Reading (3pt) and Listening (3pt) - Multiple choice
    Week 7: 30 minute-test
    - Writing (4pt) - Write a paragraph (250 words)

    II. Group work topics
    In this group work, every week you have to:
    - Take two photos that have a person or people smiling.
    - Write two paragraphs about the photos (no more than 100 words).
    - Print or show on your laptop the two photos in the class (please do not show them the paragraph). Your friends walk around to
    see your photos and one member have to talk about your group photos.
    Important!
    - Before 11:59pm Friday, send me two photos and two paragraphs to my email: khanhlinhtran1104@gmail.com
    - Email subject: GE3_[LỚP]_[GROUP]_[W2]
    Ex: GE3_21DTM04_GROUP1_W2
    - File name: Submit 3 files to my email
