Guidelines for group presentation
1. A group of 4 students formed randomly will be working together on the topic given. Students have
to draw lots to know which topic they will present about and find one-page reading text.
2. Students of each group will take turns to make presentations (about 8 minutes), including
introducing new words, summarizing the text and sharing your ideas. One activity that helps the
class have better understanding of the reading text is required, for example, reading comprehension
exercise, role play, game, etc. Each student will be given an individual mark by the teacher, the
other members and the other groups.
3. The detailed outline of the presentation must be submitted to the teacher four days before the
due date of presentation. Overdue ones will be given a penalty of 10% for each late day. NO
exceptions will be entertained.
Criteria for marking
- Spoken language (pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary, interactive communication): 30%
- Content 50%
- Preparation: 20%
Guidelines for homework
1. Each student should keep a reading journal. A one-passage reading (250 or 300 words in length)
is required every day, except Sunday. Summarize the text in 2 or 3 sentences.
2. Each reading text must be shown together with its link.
3. Students upload the texts on Facebook every day (before 10 p.m). Remember to use the hashtag
before attaching your files, as follows:
#full name #mssv_ number (ex: #lethihoa #mssv_ 234565723)
#reading2 #class_ daymonth (ex: #reading2 #60CTADL1_ 2602)
4. At the end of the course, all reading journals will be submitted to the teacher for marking.
