The Executive Post Graduate Programme of
IIMB has become the only programme among
its peers in India to place all its students within
the international benchmark of three months
after graduation. This has been achieved
by a concentrated matchmaking process
between graduating students and prospective
employers by a dedicated team at IIMB led by
an IIMB alumnus assisted by the vast networks
of alumni, faculty, and officers. A diverse mix of
EPGP participants with high GMAT scores and
high-quality prior work experience have found
challenging middle management roles with a
range of employers – many of whom have been
recruiting at IIMB every year.

“
I have taught this batch of EPGP students, and have found that they
are a cut above the rest in many respects. They are academically
very bright and come from varied backgrounds, and brought their
unique viewpoints borne out of their rich experiences of working in
different industries into the classroom. I believe that the unique and
dynamic learning pedagogy which is a blend of case analysis, project
work, and interactive classroom sessions will have added a sharp
analytical depth to the already available experiential breadth in the
students by the time they complete the programme. I am confident
that they will be an asset for whichever organization they choose to
join. I wish them all the very best in their future endeavours.”
Prof. Abhoy K Ojha, Dean, Academic Programmes
“
The Executive Post Graduate Programme
(EPGP) at IIM Bangalore provides an intense
and intellectually engaging curriculum in a
stimulating learning environment. It brings together
a diverse cohort of students selected carefully from
a large number of applicants who have a meritorious
academic record and global professional experience.
The high quality cohort creates an excellent
opportunity for peer-to-peer learning among
students. Through IIMB’s transformative and holistic
education, the EPGP endeavours to enhance the skills of individuals, who
are professionally well-prepared and grounded in values and ethics at the
same time, and equips them to lead institutions and organizations in a
globalized world.
For organizations which are looking to recruit managers who have the
potential to emerge as leaders in the future, the EPGP is an ideal place
where they can find such promising candidates with high potential.”
Prof. G Sabarinathan, Chair, Admissions & Financial Aid
“
I have taught several batches of EPGP students and always
enjoyed teaching them. The EPGP students, who have several
years of industry/corporate experience, bring into the class a
combination of rigorous thinking and hard work coupled with an
appreciation of ever-changing business world reality. This makes the
classroom interactions, for the faculty and students, very exciting as
well as challenging, thus paving a great way to learn and lead. I have
observed that these learning and leading traits are present in the
current EPGP batch abundantly. I am sure they would use them as
building blocks in whichever career path they choose, while adding
immense value to their work and organization(s).”
Prof. D Krishna Sundar, Production & Operations Management area
“
The IIMB EPGP has been designed to equip
experienced professionals to be leaders in the
current business world, leveraging their extensive
prior experience with industry interactions and peer
learning. I have always enjoyed teaching the EPGP
students.
I strongly recommend that you consider recruiting from this batch of very
capable future leaders.”
Prof. R Srinivasan, Strategy area

“
It was a pleasure to teach the EPGP batch of 2018-19. EPGP
students go through this rigorous programme that helps build their
knowledge, skills and other attributes that will enable them to take
up leadership roles in the future. I found the current batch of students
interactive and enthusiastic to learn. They were able to contribute
to the rich class discussions using their prior experience and were
simultaneously able to introspect and absorb from the discussions.
The students are well prepared, and I am confident they will be able to
take up challenging responsibilities of the corporate world. I wish them
all great success in their careers.”
Prof. Padmini Srinivasan, Finance & Accounting area
“
The EPGP with its emphasis on experience and
diversity of the student body represents the
future of management education in this country.
The carefully designed curriculum strikes the right
balance between classroom and experiential
learning. Our students who are largely senior to mid-
level managers are exposed to world-class faculty,
distinguished guest speakers, captains of industry
and a diverse group of highly motivated classmates.
In a world where disruption is the new normal, this
programme equips its graduates to challenge the
status quo and emerge as the leaders of tomorrow.”
Prof. Chetan Subramanian, Economics & Social Sciences area
“
IIM Bangalore’s EPGP provides the best environment to groom
professionals to become senior business leaders and shape the
business environment of the world. The EPGP batch of 2019 has
professionals from diverse background, experience, and expertise. They
have a keen interest in learning and bring to class varied perspectives.
Their experience and maturity enable them to apply concepts to real-
world situations, bringing together knowledge from different domains.
The batch is characterized by values such as sincerity, hard work and
compassion, which are hard to find these days. I have complete faith
in their ability to take up leadership roles in the corporate world and
succeed in all the ventures that they take up.”
Prof. Manaswini Bhalla, Economics & Social Sciences area
“
Teaching the EPGP participants is a matter
of great pride for me. They are an upbeat and
vibrant lot who infuse the classroom with energy,
liveliness, and a sense of shared responsibility
towards learning. Their inquisitiveness is sharp, their
enthusiasm contagious. There has never been a
dull teaching moment with the participants! Owing
to their rich and diverse professional backgrounds,
they bring unique insights to the table, which spark
lively debates and discussions. It is in the collective
congeniality displayed during these discussions that
the EPGP participants shine out as a group. The curriculum, via academic

the participants challenge and question their own assumptions of working
and managing. In this quest, the participants have never let me down in

Sparsh
Sparsh 2017 was our way of expressing gratitude
to our seniors for their year-long engagement
with us and their mentorship. More so, it was an
opportunity for them to come back to the campus
and relive their college days through engagement
activities such as the Masterclass and panel
discussions. In addition to batch performances,
there were some rehearsed as well as impromptu
performances from several seniors. It was indeed
fun to see them let their hair down and shake
a leg. One-year full-time MBA by the IIMs is a
recent concept in India. The alumni pool is limited,
making it all the more important to network with
them. Being in the industry, they can shed light
on how companies view this programme and
the expectations these companies have from it.
Sparsh provided that perfect platform to have fun,
network and learn.

earning from international experience is an integral part of EPGP and IIMB achieves this through the International
Immersion Programme and the GNAM Week. The IIP immerses the entire batch into the business and cultural environment
of a foreign economy. In 2017, the EPGP participants studied at KAIST College of Business in the Republic of Korea for
two weeks where their classroom lectures revolved around the Korean way of doing business and the business strategies of
prominent corporations from the host country. The theoretical learning was augmented by real-world experiences gained by
visiting prominent business houses and culminated in live projects undertaken by them with organizations such as Doosan
