About EPGP
The full-time Executive Post Graduate Programme
in Management (EPGP) is an intensive one-year
residential programme created specifically for
professionals with more than five years of work
experience, who have a proven track record across
multiple industries.

The EPGP is tailored to provide the students with the


same solid foundations in concepts and disciplines
as a two-year MBA, with similar rigor and choice of
electives. The programme adds analytical depth to the
vast experiential breadth of the candidates through
International Immersion and Exchange Programmes.
Candidates also learn from the real world experience
of industry leaders through seminars and events like
the Digital Summit and Sammantran. The programme
thus ensures holistic learning and development, a fact
recognized by the Financial Times, where the IIMB
EPGP has seen the fastest growth in rankings in the
last four years, compared to other Indian programmes.

The curriculum of the Executive Post Graduate Programme in
Management consists of 13 core courses, seven electives, an
international immersion project, and a comprehensive project. The
core courses provide a strong foundation in the basic management
disciplines.

Students are able to choose electives from over 65 courses


to deepen their understanding of the theory and practice of
management.

The curriculum is regularly revised to include contemporary


issues. The live comprehensive project is designed to advance
understanding by solving real-world problems. The institute fosters
a culture of questioning and debate, with the faculty constantly
pushing the students to apply classroom learning to complex,
often unusual, settings.

Sparsh 2017 was our way of expressing gratitude
to our seniors for their year-long engagement
with us and their mentorship. More so, it was an

earning from international experience is an integral part of EPGP and IIMB achieves this through the International
Immersion Programme and the GNAM Week. The IIP immerses the entire batch into the business and cultural environment
of a foreign economy. In 2017, the EPGP participants studied at KAIST College of Business in the Republic of Korea for
two weeks where their classroom lectures revolved around the Korean way of doing business and the business strategies of
prominent corporations from the host country. The theoretical learning was augmented by real-world experiences gained by
visiting prominent business houses and culminated in live projects undertaken by them with organizations such as Doosan
Group, The Indian Embassy in South Korea, Komea Shipbuilding, Samsung Group, SsangYong Motor and CGV.

the motto of Prayaas, the EPGP
social initiatives club. Aimed at nurturing a sense
of social responsibility among its members, in
2018, Prayaas celebrated World Environment Day
on the IIMB campus by honouring the school’s
gardening and housekeeping staff. On World
Peace Day, the security team at the school was
treated to a special celebration. Prayaas organizes
visits to elder care homes, and invites children
from underprivileged and disadvantaged groups
to enjoy a day of activity and learning on campus.

Pre-Placement Talks
Final interviews start on

The Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) helps companies
and students interact with each other. The
representatives of companies share the profile
of their company, key aspects of business, work
environment and opportunities available to the
students. The presentation is followed by a Q&A Placement Fee
session, where students interact with company

Application and Shortlists

In response to job descriptions floated by


companies, interested students apply through
the CDS (Career Development Services) Office. A
detailed resume is submitted by the students as
part of the application process. On the basis of
student applications, companies are required to
send shortlists to the CDS Office at least a week
prior to their final placement interviews.

Placement Interviews

The final placement process is conducted over


a period of time beginning in the third week of
November. Companies can interview the students
they have shortlisted, on the date provided by the
CDS Office. The final placement interview gives the
company and the student an opportunity to discuss
the role in detail and make the right choice. Since
the EPGP student pool comprises experienced
individuals with deep domain and functional
expertise, companies are allowed to meet students
prior to their allotted final interview date and carry
out preliminary assessments.

Offers and Acceptance

The company can make an offer to the student after


the final interview. For an offer to be valid, it should Placement

communicated by the company to the CDS Office,
