6. PNEUMATIC SYSTEM
Each section of the WAG 12 locomotives is equipped with a Main Air Supply
Unit (MASU) of 2430 ± 6% LPM capacity (before dryer). Location of MASU is in
the machine room. Oil level can be checked through Spy Glass on Main
compressor.
Synthetic oil Anderol 3057M is used for lubrication. Oil capacity at Max. Level
is 7Ltr and at Min. Level is 6Ltr.
7. BRAKE SYSTEM
7.1. Types of Brakes
7.1.1. Regenerative Brake
Regenerative braking starts above 10Kmph and cuts off at 5Kmph.
Maximum Regenerative effort is available between 10Kmph and 60Kmph.
Note:
Parking Brake Gauge indicates pressure value of service brakes,
if service brakes are applied during PB applied condition.
Once any one of the cabs is activated, that locomotive becomes Lead locomotive
and the locomotive connected to it becomes Follower locomotive.
