Insights on Political Campaign of Presidentiables

This May 9, 2022 Elections are people’s chance to change our nation’s fate. Voters
believe that they are at a stage to exercise the right with a single press to bestow the
leader they vote for. The voters feel proud to be the power that chooses the fate of the
country.

In our traditional way of campaigning, presidential campaigns usually involved platform

speeches, hand-shaking, miting de avance, TV-radio plugs, print ads, and the like. Then
as now, it has been added by the social media such as the Facebook, Twitter etc. given
the pandemic and tech digitization.

More and more, the shift will be to social media bloggers, influencers, troll armies, and
fake news sellers that unlike are difficult to identify, to track, and to sue for libel and other
illegalities.

As what we observed, the use of colors has always been an effective marketing
strategy. A strategy which the front-runners of the Philippine Presidential race has
effectively been doing for the past few months. Examples are Leni Robredo using the
color pink and Bongbong Marcos using the color red, and the rest. I actually know people
who would usually use the colors of their candidates to show their support.

The best thing about all these presidentiable debates, is the fact that they contain the
candidates stands on issues that can be a big thing when it comes to the policies that
our nation will have. This is particularly true when you visit sites of politicians who are
currently serving the country. You can see on their sites which bills they
supported/sponsored, which projects they spearheaded and what are the issues they
tend to prioritize. Aside from that, it is one way of political campaigning.
In conclusion,we as millennials, we have to vote and choose wisely who will our
presidential candidates to vote.
