Concert of Pakistani Politics

“Oh, my dear, love is not always the coup de foudre-the lighting strike. This statement by Julial Justiss defines the
political history of Pakistan. In 10,955 days’ life of parliamentary history of Pakistan which is 40 percent of its total life,
there exist a few events which defies the six centuries of parliamentary history. In so called democratic norms,
sovereignty belongs to “PEOPLE”-living in herd morality lead by individuals-enclosed in horse barn. Pakistan -a country
with geographical definition of ideology, values, norms, and “CONSTITUTION” has yet to become a nation or a nation-
state, writers, intellectuals and political scientist have defined it as a ‘Transition-state’. It all started with ‘Doctrine of
Necessity’ as it gives the ‘interpreter’-an absolute power to destroy the parliament with its bags and baggage. History
itself is evident that it not only provided the “opportunist” to grab the concert of parliament but also declared ‘Few
Gates’-the power to lighten the coup de foudre.

I was taught, told, and briefed via different voices, words, and visuals that ‘FALL OF DHAKKA’ was due to a-plural politics
of Sheikh Mujeeb. However, the reality is otherwise as he was forced to lead the movement against the political and
mint-establishment opportunists. Andrew Haywood, in his book, ‘Politics’, defines the politics as “the process of decision
making within the people’s will” and Noam Chomsky in his book, ‘Power System’ defies it while saying that “politics is
the privileged door give to few exclusive institutions and individuals to rule over the inclusivity of majority.” Fast
forwarding the reels, ‘July 22, 2022’, in colonized mindset, rusted institutions, decayed values, and addled walls of
provincial parliament of Punjab corroded the repetition of black days.

Let’s ignore the already ignored rights of people for a moment. Let’s talk about the rights of political party: the will of
members of parliamentary party voted in by public. In this country, this day is marked yet another episode when along
with other exploited classes these parliamentary members too become vulnerable and exploited with ‘Rejection’ by the
constitutional authority-the deputy speaker.

Adding details to above mentioned sways, let me tell you, though constitution speaks, but it speaks for the hyenas not
for the bumble-men – the majority. Article 130(4) says that “majority vote of the present members” in a run-off elections
shall be counted to elect the executive. A person getting 179 out of 365 present members is actually, in Pakistani politics’
constructed mathematics, shall be considered as majority’s decision- doubt the mathematics ,said Descartes.

Moreover, the Ghanian proverb, “when a KING has good counsellor,, his reign is peaceful” tells us about the quality of
political counsellors in Pakistan to the heads of few buildings. From “Murshad Marwan na dena” to “We will check the
checkmate”, it is all about the consulted voices which resulted in the hatred and uncontrolled polarization.

However, the Machiavellian mode of politics played by the a-political individuals sitting in power corridors is about to
face the music in the mangoes’ season where ‘A Case of Exploding Mangoes’ may not be required. The rise of people
even with negatives such as propaganda of a ousted populist leader with recent vote of no confidence has been on the
cards since March 2022.Where it would lead depends on two scenarios. Scenario one is pessimistic repetition of history
be it judicial, political or mint-establishment produced individuals running the houses causing unprecedented damage to
socio-political, socio-economic and politico-economic fabric of Pakistan. In the falling political economy of Pakistan, spill
overs on security and ideational construction are expected too. In the second scenario, few buildings and kings living in
these buildings have the opportunity to revisit the process to catch the missed trains otherwise, digital awareness
coupled with propaganda and information is spreading rationality in masses other than the taught one in history of
Pakistan books.

With the final words, “however long the night, the dawn will break” and this dawn shall be the dusk for the alphas and
betas, I am signing of from___________________________________.
