A friend says to you, “Man Originated from Apes” because many physical and biochemical
resemblances are found between them. How would you react to this?

Well, I have no concrete answer because they taught me two things, that we're the creations of
God, and we evolved from apes. There were times that I would disregard both ideas or either
since both are theories and have no solid evidence.

“Survival of the fittest”

Term made famous in the fifth edition (published in 1869) of On the Origin of Species by British
naturalist Charles Darwin, which suggested that organisms best adjusted to their environment are
the most successful in surviving and reproducing. So, how will you relate it to real life situation
by citing a concreate example based on your experiences?

An example would be what's happening now. The pandemic caused a lot of disruptions and
changes in our world and to us. We weren't used to staying at home 24/7 but going out, and this
sudden change had a myriad of effects on us. Adjusting to this "New Normal" wasn't easy. The
adjustments to my schooling and routines made an impact which made it hard for me to cope
with it. But as time passes by, we're getting used to the situation we're in right now. I guess it's
all about getting used to the environment.

1. Explain what is Biodiversity and Stability

Biodiversity refers to the vast diversity of life on our planet, while, Stability refers to a natural
system's ability to use self-controlling processes to recover to a steady-state following an
external disturbance.
2. Give the two main types of adaptation and their examples.

given environment. During a dive, a penguin's resting heart rate can drop dramatically,
allowing it to preserve oxygen and spend more time searching for food.

Behavioral Adaption- are survival strategies used by plants and animals. During the winter, adult
male penguins gather together. This allows them to survive till spring by preventing heat loss.
