1. As an Envi. Sci. student, how would you preserve the environment?


As a student, I followed rules and regulation because I know even in small
things we do it has a big help to others. And also by being a good role
model by doing such good things especially that has great impact to3 our
environment and participate environmental activities such as tree planting
or Clean Up drive and others.

2. Give two examples of biotic components and two of abiotic component.

3. Differentiate autotroph from heterotrophs (stored knowledge). Give one


example each.
The autotroph are those organism that can prepare their own food with the
substance produce by the environment, example plants. While heterotrophs
can’t produce their food and also known as consumer, example
dogs,birds,fish.

4. In what way a diverse community becomes stable?


More the species present, the more stable the community is since many
species keep other under control, thus preventing any species from
overrunning the biodiversity.

5. Give an example of change brought about by man and a change


Change brought by a man, reduction of agricultural land and reduction of
trees through most of the land and trees were used by human to create he
buildings, homes, malls, park and others. Natural change is wind, rain,
earthquakes, storm, and landslide, and the hurricane as well.

6. In community of rats, snake, human and other organism in a small


compound. What will happen if all the snakes were killed?
Food chain will be damaged because no one can control the rat population if
all of the are killed. In addition, there will be disastrous environmental
effects that could potentially lead to the extinction of other species. Some
illnesses may destroy human and other living organism.

7. Give one scenario of the result of overpopulation? Cite an Example.


Overpopulation, large family size can result of poverty and poor health. And
in our country Philippines is also have highest case of poverty. Philippine
government should take a serious action for this issue.

8. What Contribution did you give to pollution? Cite a concrete example.


Throwing my garbage everywhere and being irresponsible of everything
arounds me.

- Each species plays an important role in nature. To preserve stability in


ecosystem all living organisms must be considered important. The beautiful
butterflies are easy to appreciate, particularly when you know their important
role in pollination.

10.What is the Meaning of “No man is an Island”


In order to survive a man he need a companion because can’t live by his
own.
