Introduction

During 2011, when the LDB (Democracy governance legitimacy monitor) had been

published. The main claim behind establishing the monitor was known to be twofold. At first,

there had been wide-ranging discussions regarding the crisis of legitimacy of the democracy in

Dutch. Whereas in 2001 and 2005, political confidence figures entirely favored the Dutch terms

in a lowly manner, different legitimacy signals attractive attention too. Not only administrative

and political theory, although the wider public and the entire political domain, were not in

agreement with the issue. However, in extreme situations, the stance of the whole political

system had been on a rise capsize to being more fuss on nothing (Krevi, 2011).

Nevertheless, despite more evidence is centered on the debate that had expounded

because of the immense proliferation of the research, it was obscure as many people reported on

attitudes largely which implied that many citizens regarded it to democratic governance.

Following the feedback from the Ministry of interior and Kingdom relations, the guardian to

democratic constitutional state, and other principals beside the legitimacy monitor realized that

there was need for presenting an overview which would separate wheat and chaff so that forest

of tress could be seen again. During the present days Pollster Maurice (2013) signaled an alarm

regarding Dutch democracy whereby Dirk Jan (2013) responded that Dutch order nothing is

wrong. The main objective is answering the research presented which will incorporate a number

of research designs in order to solve the question.

Research Question
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY 3

RQ1: To what extent do Dutch citizens that are in favour of jointly economic decision making

within the EU (opposed to national economic decision making) believe in freedom of

competition as guarantee for economic prosperity?

Hypothesis

In this research the main hypothesis goes in line with the model that ads in line of

reasoning of what a suitable response would be dependent, including other matters which is

based on identity considerations. Following the identification levels of every participant in

Europe, the nation or state, the relationship between insecurity which comes from globalization

and how effective institutional feedback would be dissimilar. It is further argued that persons

with an exclusive state identity, the whole state can be chosen so that its could be an effective

component, for people that tend to have exclusive EU identity or rather a dimensional EU level

hence being chosen to be effective (Rossem, M. van, 2010). The hypothesis has been shown

below:

H1: Do globalization present insecurity this will offer the desire for an effective policy response.

H2: Do respondent holds on to an exclusionary national identity, the entire state level will be

selected as being effective in dealing with threats that come from globalization

H3: Do respondent has a multi-dimensional political identity or rather exclusionary European

one, the EU level would thus be selected to be an effective pathway of dealing with globalization

threats.

Research design
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY 4

A Causal-Comparative research design will be employed in this research paper, whereby

Dutch citizens who believe in jointly decision-making within the EU rather than in the national

decision-making on economic policy tend to believe more strongly in free competition as

guarantee for economic prosperity. This is because the rhetoric’s of the EU as an economic

project tends to be associated with a believe in freedom of competition. Thus, people who

believe in the EU’s jointly economic decision-making (independent variable 663=2) or believe in

stronger coordinated economic policy between Member States (independent variable 447=closer

to 1) also tend to believe more in freedom of competition as the best guarantee for economic

prosperity (dependent variable 545= closer to 1) (Loughlin, J., Hendriks, F., & Lidström, 2011).

A causal chain recommends how globalization impacts an individual diverge, based on

the manner a theory is considered. From this chain, we can regard the paper to be the only link,

that associate individual level impacts to individual level demands in a political context. Based

on a group of people’s understanding, globalization presents individual impacts. Compensation

hypothesis presumes that agent opinions regarding policy which are consistent with other

distribution significant impacts policy was anticipated by various economic models. Talking in a

precise manner, employees and workers who are acting based on self-interest mostly center their

interest on distributional effects.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY 5

The identified distributional impacting models tend to have criticized on a number of

occasions. First, it was argued that they typically overly in presuming the capacity of persons in

order to understand actual person of interest. Many people do not have the confidence of factual

data and the reason skills required for making adequate connections amid own personal and

economic scenarios. Theorists recommend that different factors could be related compared to

cost benefit computation.

On the other hand, a questionnaire will be established in order to understand feedback

from respondents for which there will be dependent and independent variables. For the

independent variable, there will be the Dutch government, jointly within the EU and the other

group is unidentified (variable 663. Options: 1=Dutch government, 2= Jointly within the EU, 3=

Don’t know). The question would be, “For each of the following areas, do you think that

decisions should be made by the Dutch Government, or made jointly within the European

Union?” In addition, respondent feedback will be categorized/grouped based on options

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY 6

(1,2,3,4,5 [whereby 1=very effective …,4 = not at all effective, and finally 5= don’t know]). In

this case the two questions will be, “Certain measures aimed at combating the current economic

and financial crisis are currently being discussed within the European institutions. For each of

these measures, could you tell me whether you think it would be effective or ineffective in

combating the crisis?” and “A stronger coordination of economic and financial policies between

all the EU Member States”

Moreover, the dependent variables will be 545 for which they will be grouped based

options 1,2,3,4, and 5 whereby (1=totally agree … 4=totally disagree, and 5 = Don’t know). But

the questions revolving on this will be, “To what extent do you agree or disagree with each of the

following statements?” and “Free competition is the best guarantee for economic prosperity?”

Dependent on independent variable 1 and independent variable 2 is the dependent variable,

which is the variety in which Dutch citizens believe in free competition as best guarantee for

economic prosperity. If people choose the independent variable 1=’jointly with EU economic

should be made’ or independent variable 2= “A stronger coordination of economic and financial

policies between all the EU Member States” (closer to 1) it is more likely people choose the

dependent variable closer to option 1! Thus, believe stronger in free competition as guarantee for

economic prosperity (Waard, 2013).

Analysis

For every discussion there are two interlinked segments. We have evaluated the

bivariates amid the discernment dangers which emanates from globalization and have used it to

support the increasing EU fortifications and after that we have run the multivariate analysis to

the survey on whether the relationship could be directed based on character hence controlling the

identified elements. Permit us to analyze if the different thoughts and idea regarding the danger
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY 7

coming from the globalization aspect in a different way affect the whole community. Entirely

speaking, the layered thoughts are presenting dangerous impacts. This believe in freedom of

competition is deeply rooted within a believe of personal freedom. A mainstream economic

rationale popularized by Hayek and Milton freedman where freedom of individuals leads to a

stronger believe in freedom of competition bringing economic prosperity. “In the following list,

which are the three most important values for you personally?” Thus, option 4 has been chosen

relatively more often by Dutch citizens who think economic policy needs to be made jointly

within the EU or . This group has an even stronger believe in free competition as a guarantee for

economic prosperity. The control variable 1 is 531: hypothesis is that (531=positive feeling on

Free trade) is closer to 1 (very positive) when independent variable 1 (above)= option 2 or when

independent variable 2 (above)= closer to 1. “Could you please tell me for each of the following,

whether the term brings to mind something very positive, fairly positive, fairly negative or very

negative.”

Interpretation

We have proposed notwithstanding how that this relationship may be impacted, for

example directed, by the sort of personality the respondent holds. Picturing at the results from

the software highlighted if the entire report was accurate and noted that the subject under-

reported her eating habits and other foods. Subsequently, she over-reported physical activity

occasions. The inaccurate statements showcased inaccurate outcomes within the dietary

software. The overall energy usage was estimated through evaluating the outcomes of dietary

change following the questionnaire and there was a great difference in the calories lost once she

had utilized the proper nutritional plan recommended (Loughlin, J., & Peters, 1997). According

to Naguib, Koura, Mahmound, and Wissa (2016), explain the determinants of precision would be

sweets, bread, desserts and snacks. Being in a position of maintaining decisions is challenging

for many people. After a period of monitoring, there was bod weight increase that would have

led to the patient not exercising and adhering to diet intake instructions.

Conclusion

The research paper focused on analyzing uncharted territorial straddling on a different

aspect, although its closely linked to the research hence aiding European integration hence

directly associating it to globalization. Although it hasn’t been elaborated, in these areas of

research but they tend to have been moved in tandem. Realizing the attitude determinants

towards globalization integration of European has commenced with the utilitarian model of

understanding and has so far moved to incorporate different dimensions with respect to politics

and identity. But the two typical dimensions aid the EU integration and the understanding and

attitude towards globalization which are linked and have not been explored. In this paper, a

number of limits have been stated regarding the two issues. A relationship has been highlighted

between the attitudes following the aspect of globalization and also assisting the integration of

the EU.

Typically, a positive alignment in respect to globalization is related to supportive

orientation in regard to EU integration. IN order to understand the mechanism which associates

attitude towards globalization to aid the EU we have explained a number of models

interdependence and compensation models. They share conviction which would be for ones that

feel destabilizing impact of globalization, political needs will be presented to safeguard each. But

they too diverge based on the institution that will address every demand. Every model is known

to be correct, centered on every respondent’s identity. Many people that solely hold an exclusive

identity has been associated to the nation as its targeted to agency for the Dutch within the EU

hence being an alternative option.
