1. In your own understanding, what is the relevance of Engelhart’s and Allport’s sociological
theory of value. (15 pts)
In my own understanding the relevance of Engelhart's and Allport’s sociological theory of value.
Engelhart's sociological value people’s priority in life for the world to be better like the goal or
aim. It is more concerned of such groups in the world on making connection between individual
concept. Allport's Theory of sociological value it focuses on the developing of cultural practices in
response to the economy or environment. Which is seeking truth and the feelings of the people
towards another human. It values actions rather than the possibilities to aim in the future.
2. Among the six value types according to Allport, where do you categorize yourself? Why did
you say so? (10 pts)
Among the six value types of Allport, I categorize myself theoretical. Because I only seek the
truth but nothing but the truth about the world and other people. Like a scientist. They prove
every theory about the truth behind on what is happening. They give examples on such
phenomenon why it happens and where it starts. The truth is the only way you can understand
the world and the person who you are socializing with.
