the red blood cells. If you have too few or (2. normal) red blood cells, or hemoglobin is abnormal or
low, the cells in your body will not get enough oxygen. Symptoms of anemia - like fatigue - occur
because organs aren't getting what they need to function properly. The patient feels weak, looks
pale, may suffer headaches and slight fever. There are many types of anemia. All are very (3.
difference) in their causes and treatments. Iron-deficiency anemia, the most common type, is very

thrombocytosis an increased number of platelets in the blood, thrombocytopenia - an (9.

Hemophilia is a rare disorder in which your blood doesn't clot normally because it lacks sufficient
blood-clotting proteins (clotting factors). If you have hemophilia, you may bleed for a longer time
after an injury than you would if your blood clotted normally. Small cuts usually aren't much of a
problem. The greater health concern is deep bleeding inside your body, especially in your knees,
ankles and elbows. That internal bleeding can damage your organs and tissues, and may be life-

bones break for no known reason. OI can also cause weak muscles, brittle teeth, a curved spine and
