I often remember the traditional values and virtues one should possess should always

be present: commitment, compassion, dedication, integrity, stewardship, leadership, and

excellence. Short statements, yet they speak volumes about the need for active participation
in the achievement and accomplishment of the set goals.

The portrait of these ideals evolves in the different context of being a good Catholic.
With that being said, it is with sheer enthusiasm that I value the honor of serving and
working with the people.

To the kind-hearted parish priest of St. Anthony of Padua, Rev. Vener C. Ceperez, all the
priests in the Diocese present in this mass celebration headed by the Most Rev. David
William Valencia Antonio, Bishop of the Diocese of Ilagan, to the very active Parish
Pastoral Council, Sir Robert P. Pamittan, and to the equally dedicated and hardworking
barangay lay leaders and church workers, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, my warmest
felicitations to one and all.

What a joy to stand before you at this hour that the Lord has given to share my
thoughts concerning these responsibilities that God has bestowed upon me.

I never had any doubts about accepting the invitation to be the next director general
because I believe that God is always with me.

I, Edison L. Ramil, accept this key of responsibility with the full understanding of the
responsibility and tasks bestowed upon me. I, together with my fellow church workers, do
hereby pledge to continue working hand in hand for the betterment of the parish and for the
glory of God.

I believe that the task given to me is not an easy one, but with the guidance of our
parish priest, Father Vener, and with the help and active participation of all the parishioners
and devotees of St. Anthony of Padua here in Reina Mercedes and in our neighboring towns,
we will be able to realize the projects and programs of our church in the coming days.

With that, I say, thank you so much for the trust and may God bless us always. Happy
Fiesta Reina Mercedes!

Once again, good morning!
