GUIDELINES TO STUDENTS:
Students are required to observe the followings: -

1. Upon completion of each assignment task, students are required to prepare an

assignment task report.

2. The word count for each assignment report should be or more than 3,000 words.

3. Assignment format:
a) Front Cover
b) Table of content
c) This assignment briefs/ Introduction
d) Content following the Name of the assignment tasks and corresponding task
number.
e) Conclusion and recommendation
f) References, Bibliographies and Appendixes after each assignment task report.

4. Cut and paste work, plagiarism and undeclared sources will result in an automatic
failure.

5. All references and citation shall use Harvard Referencing Style or APA.

6. The assignment should be typed using 1.5 spaces between lines in 12 Times New Roman
point-font.

7. Check carefully the submission date and the instructions given with the assignment. Late
assignments will not be accepted.

8. If you are unable to hand in your assignment on time and have valid reasons such as
illness, you may apply (in writing) for an extension. If the semester is not ended,
extension is subject to final approval by the Dean, otherwise no extension requests will
be entertained.

Group Assignment

In a group of 3 – 5 members:

The recent pandemic has affected every part of the value chain, from raw material
sourcing to end customer. It is testing the commercial, operational, financial and
organizational resilience of the majority of companies across the globe.

You are responsible to implement Lean manufacturing to ensure the organization’s

competitive advantage can be maintained. Identify FOUR (4) challenges on lean
manufacturing execution and propose the solutions on the challenges to achieve the
organization’s goals in the supply chain.

Individual Assignment

The efforts to reduce the operation’s cost for any organization. Explain FOUR (4)
impacts of successful lean manufacturing applications in the supply chain.
