GOOGLE
Google is known around the world as one of the biggest and most successful on the planet. Almost
everybody uses google to acquire knowledge and collect information about specific things. Individuals,
including me, uses google daily as a guide on our studies. The Google was officially introduced to the public in
1998, it was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. It all started around 1995 when Larry Page and Sergey
Brin started working inside their dorm rooms for a search engine that functions with the use of links to classify
the essence of single pages. It was first called as Backrub, this attracted multiple investors, making it successful.
The final push that made it possible for Google Inc. to arise from the shadows was the $100,000 check from
Andy Bechtolsheim which was received by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1998.

The success of Google was the effect of the two creator’s hard work and talent, which made it possible
for them to produce the “PageRank” algorithm, which is named after Larry Page. It basically counts and the
quantity and quality of a link to classify how essential a website is. It helps an individual page or link rank
higher than most of its counterparts, and the more important links are linked to a website, the more important
the website is. Even after all this successful approach to build Google, they still weren’t satisfied. Last August
17, they created Alphabet, which is a parent company. It allowed them to expand their company and link it onto
other social media websites.

Data Analytics is a huge part in the success of Google, it made it easier for the users to easily acquire
information that predicted the latest trends and tendencies to aid future innovators. Based on the Analytics
lifecycle, there are many methods google use to easily gather data. Two methods they used are called Active
and Passive. Active method is a method wherein a user of the site would actively communicate data to google
directly. Passive method is a program wherein it collects data from the user while the user is using a specific
link or website, without the user’s knowledge. After all this data collection, it is now cleaned by a program
created by google which produces algorithms that monetize search keywords so that the companies will be able
to monetize and advertise products on google platforms.

The most concise definition of analytics is that it makes it easier for us to search and acquire information
about a specific topic. Analytics is also used in the business field; it helps companies obtain data on a competent
scale. There are web crawlers in the net that collects data from billions of web pages which will be arranged in
the search engine until a user search it. Its method is that it starts with the recognition of terms that are used by
the users to search for a specific thing, then it is arranged according to the algorithm to make it easier for the
user to search for the thing he/she is trying to search for.

Through all this hard work, it can be proven that Google has made wise data-based decisions. Google
Analytics is their biggest asset that made it possible for them to keep the Google functioning. They eliminate

any non-essential links to the users and provide essential information for searchers which made them very
reliable.
