SCHEME OF MINORITY SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDENTS BELONGING TO MINORITY
COMMUNITIES
A D V E R T I S E M E N T
Applications are invited from students who are permanent residents in the state of
Meghalaya studying in and outside the State for the year 2022-23.
1. Merit-Cum-Means based Scholarship: Merit-Cum-Means based Scholarship is a Central Sector
Scheme. Under this scheme, scholarships are awarded to the meritorious Students from notified minority
communities pursuing Technical & Professional Courses at Under Graduate/Post Graduate level in an
institution recognized by an appropriate authority who have secured not less than 50% marks or
equivalent grade in the previous final examination are eligible for Merit Cum Means based Scholarship
for the year 2022-23 to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India. Income of both
parents from all sources should not exceed ₹. 2.50 (Lakh) per annum. Applications for Merit Cum
Means Based Scholarship are to be submitted on-line through the URL www.scholarships.gov.in Print
out of duly filled-in application forms are also to be submitted to their respective institutions, along with
all supporting documents. Only Online application under Merit-Cum-Means based Scholarship
Scheme will be accepted and no request for an Offline application will be entertained.
Last date for submission of Online application for Fresh and Renewal scholarship
by students is 31st October, 2022.
2. Post Matric Scholarship: Post Matric Scholarship is a Central Sector Scheme. Under this scheme,
scholarships are awarded to the meritorious Students from notified minority communities pursuing any
course in Government or Private institute from class XI to Ph.D level who have secured not less than
50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination are eligible for Post Matric Scholarship
for the year 2022-23 to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India. Income of both
parents from all sources should not exceed ₹. 2.0 (Lakh) per annum. Applications for Post Matric
Scholarship are to be submitted on-line through the URL www.scholarships.gov.in. Print out of duly
filled-in application forms are also to be submitted to their respective institutions along with all
supporting documents. Only Online application under Post Matric scholarship Scheme will be
accepted and no request for an Offline application will be entertained.

3. Pre-Matric Scholarship: Pre-Matric Scholarship is a Central Sector Scheme. Under this scheme,
scholarships are awarded to the meritorious Students from notified minority communities pursuing
studies in Government or Private School from Class I to Class X who have secured not less than 50%
marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination are eligible to apply for Pre-Matric
Scholarship for the year 2022-23 to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India.
Income of both parents from all sources should not exceed ₹. 1.0 (Lakh) per annum. Applications for
Post Matric Scholarship are to be submitted on-line through the URL www.scholarships.gov.in. Print
out of duly filled-in application forms are also to be submitted to their respective institution along with
all supporting documents. Only Online application under Pre-Matric scholarship Scheme will be
accepted and no request for an Offline application will be entertained.

4. Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship: This scholarship scheme is for meritorious Girl Students
belonging to notified minority communities pursuing Class IX to XII who have secured not less than
50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination are eligible to apply for Begum Hazrat
Mahal National Scholarship for the year 2022-23 to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs,
Govt. of India. Income of both parents from all sources should not exceed ₹. 2.0 (Lakh) per annum.
Applications for Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship are to be submitted on-line through the
URL www.scholarships.gov.in. Print out of duly filled-in application forms are also to be submitted to
their respective institutions along with all supporting documents. Only Online application will be
accepted and no request for an Offline application will be entertained.
Last date for submission of Online application for Fresh and Renewal
scholarship by students is 30th September, 2022.

Students are advised to upload all the required documents while applying so that there will be no
issues during verification of their applications at the State Level.
