help them in channelizing their energies and utilize their time judiciously
and make these holidays a joyful experience for them.

Handy Musical Instruments

Bring the band alive at your home by making some musical
instruments with recycled material.
Exposing young children to musical instruments can help to achieve various skills
like listening skills, eye- hand coordination, fine motor skills and in developing
muscle tone in the hands and arms. Therefore, help your child to make any 2
musical instruments with the help of examples and link given below.

 INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CRAFT WORK TO BE DONE ROLL NO. WISE
Enjoy making these with your kids . Please involve them thoroughly and do not worry about
neatness as we know it’s a child’s work .

PLASTIC BOTTLE PLANTER FOR VERTICAL GARDEN ( ROLL NO. 1 - 20)

Material Required:
 Plastic bottle (two-litre cold drink bottles are perfect)
 A skewer
 String
 Hardened paper ( An old cereal box )
 A pair of scissors
 Gardening soil
 Seedlings from local plant nursery
Method :
 Cut the bottle horizontally on one side and remove the extra piece.
 Ensure the bottle cap is still on to prevent the soil from draining out once
you fill it in.
 Poke holes with a skewer along the side and base of the container to
provide drainage holes.
 Line the interior of the bottle with the paper and then fill in the gardening
soil.
 Transplant your seedlings into the planter and then add the required
amount of water.

 LET’S MAKE A BIRD HOUSE (ROLL NO. 21 ONWARDS)

Method ( Refer the given link):

 Cutout a medium size circle at the side of the box for the bird to enter.
 Make some holes on the bottom side of the box for air to pass.
 Now paste broomsticks, twigs on the container to give it a natural look.
 Attach a twig at the bottom for the bird to sit.
 Now stuff the nest with some paper, threads etc. to provide nesting material to
the bird.
 Attach a satin ribbon on the top to hang the nest.
 Your bird house is ready.
