Subject: Appointment as “Team Lead Operations“ on Contract Basis.

Dear Mr. Rashid,

We are pleased to offer you contract appointment as Team Lead Operations at Orient Power Plant Balloki.
Following are the employment terms and conditions: -

1. Salary
Your monthly lump-sum gross salary will be Rs. 309,225/-. You will not be entitled to Gratuity, Bonus,
LFA except Overtime and Night Shift Allowance.
2. Deductions
According to the relevant laws, company will deduct the followings from your salary and remit to the
relevant departments:
- Income Tax liabilities, if any.
- And any others liabilities as may be applicable from time to time.

3. Duration of Contract Appointment

Your appointment shall be entirely on contract basis, in case of expiry it may be further extended upon
mutual agreement between both parties. This contract shall automatically cease with immediate effect,
if a permanent employment is offered by the Company.
Commencement Date: 2nd August 2022
Expiry Date: 30th September 2022 (last working day)

4. Working Hours
Working hours may be subject to change from time to time as determined by the Management
according to the season or situations. However, your working hours shall be 48hrs per week.
5. Leaves
During the contract employment, you will be eligible per annum, on pro-rata basis, to ten (10) casual
leave days and eight (8) sick leave days. All leave applications are to be scheduled and approved by the
management as per relevant leave policy.
6. Transfer
At the sole discretion of the Management, you may be transferred to any subsidiary or associate
company or to any location to perform such duties as may be directed by the Management.
7. Medical Certificate
Your appointment is subject to your being declared medically fit by any registered medical practitioner
on the company’s standard format, before or at the time of your joining.
8. Termination
This employment shall be terminated automatically at the completion of the contract term. Further, no
obligation will be imposed on either party to give reasons for resignation / termination of employment.
Incase of resignation or termination, you will be required to handover any company provided
equipment and document, etc to your Manager before your departure. The Company will provide your
clearance certificate at the time of the final settlement.

9. Termination due to Misconduct

Termination for misconduct; e.g. insubordination, disobedience, theft, fraud, dishonesty, etc., may lead
to termination with immediate effect. You shall not be entitled to claim any compensation, damages or
payment from the company for or in respect of such dismissal.

10. Confidentiality
During the contract period or after its termination you will not disclose any information relating to the
Company or its customers, and will not divulge any of Company’s business secrets that your may obtain
during your contract. You will not act in any manner contrary to the interest of the Company. Further,
you shall not accept any other employment whether part time or otherwise, with any other person nor
engage in any business activity directly or indirectly during the currency of the contract.

11. Other Terms & Conditions of Employment

In addition to the aforesaid terms and conditions, your employment shall not be governed by Labour
Laws of Pakistan. Your employment shall be subject to the relevant company policies, rules, regulations
and practices either expressed or implied as may be imposed from time to time. Further, the company
reserves the right to amend or change its policies, rules & regulations at its sole discretion, and the
amended policies, rules & regulations shall take precedence over old one.
As an expressed condition of your employment, you are required to read and acknowledge receipt,
understanding and agreement to comply with and uphold our commitment to ethical business practices
