How to Match with 500W+ Large Current PV Panels

With the development of PV technology, more and more solar manufacturers use 210mm or
182mm silicon wafers to research and produce larger size and higher efficiency photovoltaic
modules. In order to reduce the LCOE of the system and improve efficiency, high-power
panels have gradually become the mainstream of the market. At the same time, the string
current of high-power panels will be larger, which brings more challenges to the inverter.

MOD 10KTL3-X

For the inverter with two MPPTs and single string per MPPT, like MOD 10KTL3-X, we need parallel
connect the two MPPTs like the above image, you can set the PV Input Mode in the
ShinePhone or local configuration APP ShineTools when installing inverter. For the inverter
whose power lower than 15kW, the mode should be In Parallel MPPT. As for the larger inverter
like MID and MAX, choose the Independent MPPT is enough.

For the inverter with unbalanced string per MPPT, like MID25KTL3-X, in the case of not
exceeding the total current of the MPPT, two strings can be connected to the MPPT which has
three PV input port. The DC/AC ratio could up to 1.5 for MID series, the plant owner can decide
how many panels they use according to their demands.
