Source A:
Simla Conference ended in smoke but it enhanced the popularity and prestige of Mr. Jinnah,
although Jinnah’s claim that the Muslim League was an authoritative of the Indian Muslims and
could show up their strength in the next elections. The Congress opposed the idea. The League
stood as a firm rock and its leader captained the course of the Muslims. Hindus and Muslims
would get freedom but the League wished not to be bypassed.
